I don't venture across this LE side too often @utopia, was it you who was getting a weighted blanket? If so how are you finding it?

I love that story about books @Smc - like - I only have one cat but I have so many bookis life can never been dull - actually my home rather resembles a library
I do dispose of books now and again - but books have to been among my favourite things

Re: SPRING-Clean Declutter - Need Help
I did get a weighted blanket @Former-Member. It's good to use to wrap myself in. But not cover my head with it (too heavy). It's too heavy to sleep with it on. I can't naturally roll over in my sleep. But for wrapping yourself in or under when you need security or a sense of security - it is very good. Because I'm such a big person (think fat) - I got a 10kg blanket. They say 1kg for every 10kg of weight you carry. Problem is, I may be heavy, but I'm not strong. Personally if I could order it again, id only order a 7kg weight.

Re: SPRING-Clean Declutter - Need Help
@Owlunar, I'm constantly mooning over photos of beautiful libraries. I think I could very happily live in one.
I don't read as much nowadays as I used to. I'm a bit emotionally tired for settling in to the longer attention span a book needs. But I still find books comforting somehow, and expect I'll return to more avid reading eventually.
I guess I've got a long history of being a bookworm. One of my childhood practices was taking a book with me when I climbed my favourite tree. Seriously, where better to read Enid Blyton's "Faraway Tree" books?

Next question… is being a bookworm counterproductive when de-cluttering, or are books an exempt category… ?? Mheeheehee….

Hi there decluttering crew, keep at it. Pop in now & then, quietly, still picking up on all your tips, struggles & persistence.
Thanks for thinking of me Dec, for the virtual hug teddies 🙂 & the "gotcha" 🙂
Got a bit done. Went through big bag of mum's craft stuff yesterday, 1/2 gBag > charity. Dad's sock drawer was too much too, so got rid of all the thick or tight ones.
I can relate to struggles clearing desks and pianos & stools & tables... We just need to be able to: - get to things - use things - find it... - and just 'function' at home - liive the joyful bits
It is draining sorting and throwing stuff.
Book shelves can be useful, but can look messy. I just picked up a 60x1250 bk shelf, pine, from Salvos for $20 (1/2 price day)... Hmm, I know, probably didn't need it.
Yep, if there's not a place for something, something's gotta go!
Yep, What would we do without Wheelie bins & garbage bags?
Hiya Soul, thanks for the call out. I'm OK, had a 'meltdown' last week that lasted x3 days 😞 headaches, withdrawal, etc. Nearly ran away. Felt paranoid watching my back all the time with toxic sis & bro undermining me. Haven't received any mail for dad all week & find myself worried she's intercepting it. She's capable, and that nasty, but really, would she go that far? anyway, putting it down to the FULL MOON, too much salt, forgetting my meds for 2days there, stress of guardianship fight, stress of grief re mum, stress of being carer for dad.
I have been thinking of u Soul, often, but get quite lost in my own circumstances. I've been concerned how much nerve damage you have that might be permanent? Hope not. Have you heard of NEUROPLASTICITY' (?spelling), groundbreaking research there that might help. Hope you're daughter has eased up a bit.
I'm still living out of a suitcases here 😞 Even though nobody uses anything in the big spare wardrobe in my room, it still feels odd to clear it for my stuff / clothes. Time will tell. In 2011 i lived 4months out of a suitcases, with a relative, plus 6weeks in hospital the same year.
