HOME

Well I'm finally home (again).
4 hospital stays in 91 days. Wow. No wonder it feels so strange to be in my own house again. Adjusting will take time. Cooking for myself will take time.
My house is in the same condition in which I left it. A pigsty. So no one room has warmth and charm to lift my mood. Will have to slowly start cleaning up - one room at a time.
I did go and watch my son play soccer in the finals. I'd been so sick this year - thst it was the first game I had been to all year. His team lost. But they play again next week. So still stand a chance of playing the grand final.
My son is still living with my mum. Has been since the end of April. Hopefully he will see how much I've improved on my new anti depressants and anti anxiety meds. Then he may choose to come home soon.
Was up and doing the washing early this morning. But now reading a book in bed.
Am very bored. But have AA Meeting tomorrow night.
And I have my WorkCover IME (independent Medical Examination) - psych interview with a tough psychiatric on the 30th of this month. Think it could be on Wednesday. And then I have my much waited for Psychologist appointment. Can't see him when I'm in hospital (too far away).
So that's it for now. A new thread for a new beginning.

Well I had my stitches out this morning before 11am. Had a sleep before 3pm & woke up with the stitches area really sore.
Finally looked in the mirror and the skin has split apart where the suture line is.
Doctors closed after 6pm so I rang after hours nbr. Went to local hospital and waited for my gp to show up.
She decided not to put new stitches in because the site is infected. So she cleaned it - butterfly clipped it - put dressing on & then bandage and then a metal splint and another bandage. I have to keep the arm straight til I see her next Thursday. Hence the splint. As everytime I bend my elbow it pulls on the muscles near the suture site.
No pain now. She put numbing cream on it.

Just checking in @utopia.Great news about your son. Give him some space. I’m lucky if my son responds to a message two days later.

Ouchy about your arm.

Take care 💪🏼💕

Struggling to do everything with my left hand. Even typing this is slow.

Re: HOME

Well I've discovered how hard it is to hang up the washing with one arm. I can't tie my hair up and off my face. Hard to do lots of things with one arm bandaged straight. Is frustrating. But I haven't let it bring down my mood. Staying mentally healthy.

Whinge time.

I hate only bring able to use my left arm. Tried washing my hair this morning with a cup and bucket. Made a mess. And my scalp is still not clean.

Cant tie my hair up to reduce the heat and bhumidity on my head. Scalp, sooo itchy.

Hard to cook. Even eating with my left hand creates a mess. I'm a mess. 6 more days like this
