HOME

Well I'm finally home (again).
4 hospital stays in 91 days. Wow. No wonder it feels so strange to be in my own house again. Adjusting will take time. Cooking for myself will take time.
My house is in the same condition in which I left it. A pigsty. So no one room has warmth and charm to lift my mood. Will have to slowly start cleaning up - one room at a time.
I did go and watch my son play soccer in the finals. I'd been so sick this year - thst it was the first game I had been to all year. His team lost. But they play again next week. So still stand a chance of playing the grand final.
My son is still living with my mum. Has been since the end of April. Hopefully he will see how much I've improved on my new anti depressants and anti anxiety meds. Then he may choose to come home soon.
Was up and doing the washing early this morning. But now reading a book in bed.
Am very bored. But have AA Meeting tomorrow night.
And I have my WorkCover IME (independent Medical Examination) - psych interview with a tough psychiatric on the 30th of this month. Think it could be on Wednesday. And then I have my much waited for Psychologist appointment. Can't see him when I'm in hospital (too far away).
So that's it for now. A new thread for a new beginning.

Re: HOME

Am so hungry - hungry for flavour. But can't be bothered getting out of bed to cook. This is always happening. So instead of eating dinner - I eat a pkt of biscuits. I wish someone would come and cook for me. And clean my house and look after my dogs and look after me.
I'm tired of doing it all on my own.

I do hope they are chocolate biscuits @utopia - then I will share them with you

Re: HOME

Just plain crackers @Zoe7.
But there are bacon and eggs waiting in the fridge for me to cook.

Re: HOME

Oh no @utopia - could not like that post - plain crackers - yuk

Bacon and eggs I could do - but eggs aren't good for my tummy (or bacon for that matter lol) - but for you - I'll have both

Re: HOME

Hi @utopia - I had a bowl of Rice Bubbles for dinner a few nights ago. It's hard when you're just cooking for yourself. I make more of an effort when it's not just me. As for courses - I'm looking at a few options. I've thought about OH&S - I can get credits for prior learning as I've been a health and safety rep.and also I'm looking at social work, counselling, mental health etc. I've certainly got plenty of real-life experience in that My background is in IT and telecommunications in a healthcare environment but I'm completely burned out after doing it for more than twenty years. I need a fresh start. I've always been interested in art, media and photography so that's another option I'm looking into. It's a shame you're not closer to the universities... a lot of them offer an online component but classroom contact is always preferable. Have you thought about hitting up your former employer for retraining costs?

Re: HOME

@Former-Member. Too late to get training costs from my ex employer. They terminated my contract in Feb last year. They wouldn't give me anything. And because I do Administration - I 'should' be able to get a job elsewhere.
I also worked in the health industry and was a OH&S Rep.
The other day I had nutra grain for dinner. I don't like nutra grain. But I can't be bothered cooking. Too much effort.
