HOME

Well I'm finally home (again).
4 hospital stays in 91 days. Wow. No wonder it feels so strange to be in my own house again. Adjusting will take time. Cooking for myself will take time.
My house is in the same condition in which I left it. A pigsty. So no one room has warmth and charm to lift my mood. Will have to slowly start cleaning up - one room at a time.
I did go and watch my son play soccer in the finals. I'd been so sick this year - thst it was the first game I had been to all year. His team lost. But they play again next week. So still stand a chance of playing the grand final.
My son is still living with my mum. Has been since the end of April. Hopefully he will see how much I've improved on my new anti depressants and anti anxiety meds. Then he may choose to come home soon.
Was up and doing the washing early this morning. But now reading a book in bed.
Am very bored. But have AA Meeting tomorrow night.
And I have my WorkCover IME (independent Medical Examination) - psych interview with a tough psychiatric on the 30th of this month. Think it could be on Wednesday. And then I have my much waited for Psychologist appointment. Can't see him when I'm in hospital (too far away).
So that's it for now. A new thread for a new beginning.

Re: HOME

Hi @utopia - love the painting, sorry for the late comment - I have a similar painting by Gloria Petyarre and another one that is in a similar style that I only recently realised I had hung sideways when I saw a picture of the artist with the painting . I;ve just "disappeared" for a couple of weeks. Got my discrimination hearing coming up in a bit over a week and the stress is getting to me so needed to put some distance between me and the real world so I've been overseas getting some sun. I hope everything is going well for you and the medications are doing you good now.

Hi @utopia

I hope you are doing well now you are home - how long has it been and how are you going

I read you didn't sleep well last night - that is so tough for you - I get it - I find it easier to get up and lie on the couch and listen to something I have recorded - if I sleep good - if I don't - at least I am not tossing around in the bed

I really do hope things are going well for you - and your mother and your son

Re: HOME

@Former-Member - my artist was taught how to paint the Bush Medicine Leaves - by her Aunt Gloria. How great that we have similar paintings.
I think - even though we know of the song line story of our paintings - we will also have our own connection with it - & that means the painting is never upside down. I love each individual brush stroke for each leaf. I can be mesmerised and stare at it for hours. It draws me in.
Wow. Only one week to go til your discrimination hearing. No wonder you needed to get away for a relax.
Is this hearing in court?
You know the facts! You know you are right? Just explain it the best you can. Even 'so called 'minor' incidents'. It's all bullying and it all adds up.
Take your time and deep breaths when you need to. You've got this!

Re: HOME

@Owlunar - no the other night was a bad sleep. Next night I took a med and slept for 11 hours.
I'm not sure how long I've been home. Maybe 5 weeks. The anti depressants are working well. I'm feeling so much better. No more suicidal thoughts. Am appreciating the sun and the birds singing. And being home with my dogs. The first week or two I didn't feel 'home' yet. Still felt strange at the shops. But now it all feels like home again.
My son is visiting his dad for a few days. Hopefully having a good time. During these holidays, I'll talk to him about coming home - before school starts back. I'm doing better and I'm missing him.
I hope you have a restful day and enjoy the sunshine

Re: HOME

Good to hear that you are feeling more settled @utopia. And having your son back with you sounds really promising. I did get some walking in before it rained. I think it's dry but just coolish and dreary now.

Re: HOME

Hi @utopia .... hope you don't mind me bringing it back here ...

Zoe is going into day surgery tomorrow and it's got her totally freaked at the moment, which is why I haven't tagged her here now .... she is really struggling with it tonight.

She will find this post if she comes looking, or at some time in the days ahead, presuming she has notifications from this thread turned off .... but you will understand that it is hard for her to talk about.

Just wanted to give you a heads-up.

💜
