HOME

Well I'm finally home (again).
4 hospital stays in 91 days. Wow. No wonder it feels so strange to be in my own house again. Adjusting will take time. Cooking for myself will take time.
My house is in the same condition in which I left it. A pigsty. So no one room has warmth and charm to lift my mood. Will have to slowly start cleaning up - one room at a time.
I did go and watch my son play soccer in the finals. I'd been so sick this year - thst it was the first game I had been to all year. His team lost. But they play again next week. So still stand a chance of playing the grand final.
My son is still living with my mum. Has been since the end of April. Hopefully he will see how much I've improved on my new anti depressants and anti anxiety meds. Then he may choose to come home soon.
Was up and doing the washing early this morning. But now reading a book in bed.
Am very bored. But have AA Meeting tomorrow night.
And I have my WorkCover IME (independent Medical Examination) - psych interview with a tough psychiatric on the 30th of this month. Think it could be on Wednesday. And then I have my much waited for Psychologist appointment. Can't see him when I'm in hospital (too far away).
So that's it for now. A new thread for a new beginning.

Re: HOME

Still a very nice temperature in the house here @utopia - kept the doors and windows closed today apart from the back door opened a little to let Toby and Cat inside and out as they please. It was only 33 degrees when I last looked but still very warm outside.

Yes Toby did look like a little baby being carried last night - he is so spoilt but his little eyes were closing too - he was struggling to keep them open while still trying to look at his mummy - so adorable 🐶

It sounds like you have done a very wise thing in getting the cooking out of the way early. I am having salad tonight - mostly likely with a chicken schnitzel as that cooks quickly. The cricket is on tonight too so will be watching that - it's a home game for us but not going tonight - going to stay home and watch it in the cool of home instead.

Re: HOME

Holy shite @utopia that is hot - do you have a fan on?

Re: HOME

@Zoe7. Had a nap. Woke at 4.30 and it's 43 degrees. Have evaporator cooler and ceiling fans. But at least 30 degrees in the house.

And we're expecting lightening tonight. Our hills and paddocks are timber dry.

Re: HOME

Oh shite @utopia that has all the makings for a bushfire - keep yourself safe Hon.

I'd be sitting on top of the cooler if it was that hot still in the house. Going to be a very uncomfortable night for you - hope the cool change comes your way soon - we have already had one come through and it is back down into the 20s. Keep up your fluids too @utopia - plenty of water ...with ice if you have it to cool off a bit more.

Re: HOME

Am crunching and sucking all the ice cubes. Wet a cheesecloth top and put it on to help cool me down. Top dried completely within 30 minutes.

Temp slightly lower now. Feels cooler in the house.

Bush fire up in our hills. Hard area to put out fires. Respite centre has been set up in our town for those evacuating. And our Cattle saleyards will be for the animals evacuating with their humans.

Will keep an eye on how the fire is going, throughout the night.

Glad you've cooled down to your 20's in Tassie

Re: HOME

@Zoe7. Now 7pm and our temperature has 'dropped' to 38 degrees.

Melting

Re: HOME

Hope it cools quickly for you there too and the fire is brought under control quickly. We have a rather big fire burning up the valley but it isn't too close to any residential areas yet. Apparently the wind has changed direction and it is beginning to burn back on itself so that is good news. The watch and act has been downgraded for some areas now.

I am watching the cricket - my team is playing tonight - I didn't want to go to the game tonight because I have been trying to get things done at home but I might go to the next one @utopia

Re: HOME

That is so hot still @utopia - no wonder you are melting. How about a cool shower - or is that too much effort in the heat?
