HOME

Well I'm finally home (again).
4 hospital stays in 91 days. Wow. No wonder it feels so strange to be in my own house again. Adjusting will take time. Cooking for myself will take time.
My house is in the same condition in which I left it. A pigsty. So no one room has warmth and charm to lift my mood. Will have to slowly start cleaning up - one room at a time.
I did go and watch my son play soccer in the finals. I'd been so sick this year - thst it was the first game I had been to all year. His team lost. But they play again next week. So still stand a chance of playing the grand final.
My son is still living with my mum. Has been since the end of April. Hopefully he will see how much I've improved on my new anti depressants and anti anxiety meds. Then he may choose to come home soon.
Was up and doing the washing early this morning. But now reading a book in bed.
Am very bored. But have AA Meeting tomorrow night.
And I have my WorkCover IME (independent Medical Examination) - psych interview with a tough psychiatric on the 30th of this month. Think it could be on Wednesday. And then I have my much waited for Psychologist appointment. Can't see him when I'm in hospital (too far away).
So that's it for now. A new thread for a new beginning.

Re: HOME

Hi @soul. I finished one book on the farming history of Australian Aboriginals. Niw I'm ready about Aboriginals in the Victorian Gold Rush Hope by Tuesday the book on Aboriginal architecture in Australia arrives.
Finding the books interesting.
Plan to take dogs to the creek for a run and play.
What are your plans for the week? Did you do anything this weekend?

Re: HOME

Your books sound interesting @utopia. I remember learning about Aborigines at school waaaaayyyyy back. All I can recall was that they were depicted as violent people with spears who threatened the white people who came to Australia. How tragic is that? It would be interesting to get a hold of one of those social studies books we had at school. Probably they were all destroyed.

Glad you're getting some exercise with the dogs. Keep it up. Good for them and you.

The highlight of my weekend was having my son over for dinner so the three of us sat down for a meal of homemade pizza together. Simple pleasures but so nice. After dinner, we took the dog for a night walk. She loves seeing my lad and goes ballistic. Not much happening this week - same old - lots of walks and yoga. Work at home.

Hope you have a good week. I'll be around.

Re: HOME

Thanks @soul. Yes I have the Conciliation hearing with Workcover Thursday morning. My gp appointment Thursday afternoon. And a Family Session with my mum son & I - with my psycholigist in Friday afternoon. A big 2 days coming up. So I'll just relax until then.
@Former-Member - what room are we doing today? What cupboards are we going through? You have the boxes ready? I have the tape and black texta. Lets do this. Start with the first 30 minutes and see what we manage together.

Re: HOME

Hi @utopia - What happens at the conciliation meeting? Hope it goes well. Are your son and mother willing participants in the psychologist's meeting? My psychologist suggested a family meeting with me, my daughters, and my daughter's mother.... I was thinking bad idea - would have ended like world war three
