Really wobbly

Really wobbly

Any advice and suggestions about how to stay grounded and do self care much appreciated. I have some big stressors in my life right now. That combined with Bipolar 1 and Anxiety is really knocking me around. Trying to sell home as result of marriage breakdown, pay debts, find new home. My daughter (who is my main support) is leaving home (can't blame her). I have a young son to look after and I'm trying to protect him from the strain of the situation. All this is coming off the back of a mixed episode, which has recently been replaced by plumetting mood and skyrocketing anxiety. I am teary and on the verge of panic and need to talk myself down - there's noone else to do it. The future is scaring me.

Re: Really wobbly

My day has been slow and steady after a wobbly start this morning @frog .....

I am glad you are feeling better for having kept physically busy. There might be a kinesthetic connection in there somewhere. Try stretching periodically at your desk, and taking a walk around before going back to your desk every hour or so.

The adjective kinesthetic comes from the noun kinesthesia, which means the sensory perception of movement. Kinesthesia happens when the brain gets feedback from muscles and ligaments about how the body is moving. Dancing is a kinesthetic art form. If you're interested in kinesthetic questions, you might consider going into physical therapy as a career.

Morning @Faith-and-Hope wishing you less wobbles today. I'm so tired, in spite of sleeping.

Hi @Shaz51 it's good to see you this morning. Commisserations on the lack of sleep. It makes everything harder. Be gentle with yourself today.

Hello if anyone is out there. It looks like my mother is dying. She is more than 1000km away and about to be put on life support. I can't process this. She has had such a hard life and things between us have been bad since I was 10 years old. I just needed to say this.

Hi @frog - sounds like its been a big shock and maybe a lot of mixed feelings (or maybe no feelings - i go numb when im overwhelmed with things sometimes)... I'm glad you were able to say it here, here listening if you want to talk about it or sitting nearby quietly if ok.

Thanks @Former-Member @Faith-and-Hope @outlander

This was supposed to be a better year.

It's a question of when for my mother. She did a very bad thing when I was 16 and I hated her for it. Now I just feel. Actually don't know what I feel apart from sad. It's too big.

Also, my sister has surgery on Thursday because possibly breast cancer. And she is so far away. She lives overseas.

I am trying to go through the motions this morning but I don't know about work. I don't know about anything.
