Re: not coping

I managed 2 hrs so it won't be a late night for me hopefully. I have had my best day I have had in weeks/months not without drama but got a lot accomplished today.

please go easy on yourself @outlander, you are dealing with a lot. 💜

Re: not coping

yes and no @Former-Member
just getting through the days as best I can for now

@Sans911 will just respond here if that's alright.
No I don't have much luck with GPs at all, its quite frustrating.
I was very unwell overnight and this morning, not feeling a whole heap better a few hours on. I keep having thoughts im imagining it but im fairly sure im not.
I do have a womens health centre about 30 minutes away from me, that was one of the recommendations and seems ok esp since one gp is also more trained with IUD's just not sure about the travelling, it could be worth it though. just so tossed up, don't understand why finding a gp is so damn hard.

the surgeon from dental op hasn't given me much info, that's the problem. every month I go up there get tested to see if its healing (which no improvement since 5 months ago which is when most would've already been healed) and they wont even check to see which nerve or anything it is. they just say I knew the risks and that some of my symptoms aren't from the surgery which they are because I never had it before then.
they've said surgery might be an option to fix it but again no info and just says that its up to me even though ive asked for more information.
long term not sure, I guess it depends on how much I want to live with the pain and other nerve related symptoms, a newly formed lisp and difficulty in saying some words, mental side of things like thinking only one side of my face is working (that's what it feels like but apparently it doesn't look like that to others) and the speaking thing.

Re: not coping

@outlander This all just seems unbelievable, how can they deny that it's not from the surgery? Like @Sans911 said on another thread you can know the risks but you don't expect them really (not word for word) sending you my love 💜

Re: not coping

I honestly don't know @Former-Member
if none of this was happening before and nothing has changed except the surgery then what else could it be? the only thing they've said is it is defiantly nerve related but wont investigate further even though ive asked. these are suppose to be one of the best in public health care system too.

ive been in contact with another surgeon, if I can get a gp to refer me to him itll only cost me $75 each session. that's much better then 500 what I was being quoted by others so im going to make an appointment to see them. hes still about 2 and half hours from me but that's what I travel already so its not a heap difference if its going to be worth it.

Re: not coping

I really need to work out what to do about a gp. im tossed up, this changing thing is really hard all the time.

Re: not coping

Wow, that a big difference in cost. Changing gp's is really hard. It took me almost 8 yrs to find one I was completely comfortable with and now with this virus and his own medical issues he is only doing Telehealth appointments and would prefer given my current mental state that I see one of the gp's who is seeing patients in the clinic. Not happening though. Do you have many choices when it comes to getting a new one @outlander
