Re: not coping

my car stalled on the offramp on the freeway with kids in the car so was scary and then stalled again on the way home thankfully there was somewhere to pull over. a bus driver and another car helped me to push it up onto the curbside gutter off the ramp

Re: not coping

That would be very scary @outlander and I am so pleased someone came to your assistance. Is your car going ok now? Hopefully nothing major wrong with it hon. Are you calmer now or are you still trying to pull yourself together? That's the sort of incident that can cause us to go over lots of "what if this had happened..." Take care.

Re: not coping

i was worried someone was going to hit my car with the kids in it so i got the kids to a safe place and got my sister to call my step dad while really desparatley trying to get it started again enough to move it off the road @Eve7

im not sure whats wrong with it yet but i cant even take it to the mechanics otherwise ill have to tow it unless they come to me.

i think it might be the petrol that i put in. i havent had anything mechanically wrong with it until i put some petrol in at a place i dont normally go so i think it has something to do with the petrol we are going to siphen petrol out and change the fuel filter and put petrol i know is ok and see how it goes. my sister said i can borrow her car for now cause she doesnt need it unless shes going for a driving lesson.

i was shaking really badly. of course i got yelled at and said to stop shaking because i was alright. ive settled more now that i have the car home and know i dont have to drive that car till we get it fixed now.

Re: not coping

me too @Snowie
im really hoping itll be an easy fix. i got quoted 900-2200 to have the rest of the repairs done (full total is 2200 but the main one is 900) so its quite stressful atm esp since i cant get a care loan, and have so many other bills to pay off too esp the hospital ones. im going to aim to work out what this problem is keep the car for 3/4 months and then see where my credit rating is at and hopefully pay off most of the loans i have so i can get another one

Re: not coping

I am glad you are home now too @outlander safe and sound. Cars can be such a worry...an expensive worry at that so I am pleased you have a car to use in the meantime.

Anyway, have a stiff (virtual) drink!

Angels watching over you today xox
