Re: not coping

It is hard and strange @Maggie the forums are suppose to be here to support people but i know many of us 'hide' when we are struggling. Sometimes wish there was more then a virtual hug to send.

Did you manage a shower?
Im about to make my first tea of the morning

Re: not coping

Hi @outlander ... I have a relatively quiet week this week actually. Which is a good thing, as I am welcoming a chance to rest and relax and maybe catch up on some lost sleep from the past week.

Yes @Maggie @outlander ... its very true that for many of us, the natural inclination is to 'go to ground' and 'lie low' when we are struggling a lot. Although it may be the right move for some, for others its probably the worst thing they could do. For me, it contributes to me feeling very alone and as though nobody understands or cares. And of course we all know that isnt the case. We are never alone in what we are feeling, and there are always lovely caring people around the forums to help us through.

Re: not coping

Sorry @Emelia8 but I’m going to ground today. It’s not good for me and I don’t want my negativity influencing others.

Re: not coping

Hello all

Thanks for the tag @Emelia8 ❤️

I'm sorry to see so many struggling. Sending love and light @outlander @Eve7 @Maggie @Snowie ❤️

Hoping your headache subsides outlander, they can be debilitating at times.

Eve7 I wish I could be there with you and lighten your load. I remember the trials and tribulations of just homework back in the day, let alone home schooling! Try to be kind to yourself. Give yourself grace. Don't beat yourself up for not being the best teacher, that is not your profession, you are the best parent to your kids. Remember that sweetie. We all beat ourselves up too much, none of us as perfect. Far out hindsight, oh if we had it we would all make different choices. I'm here with you in spirit holding your hand. Breathe deep when you need to. Take a cuppa break. You've got this I promise x

Re: not coping

@outlanderI hope you are feeling a little better today and that the pain meds can help. It is certainly different on the forums lately, I just hope a virtual hug and sitting with someone is enough.

@Emelia8 glad to be home from hospital and adjusting slowly. Was nice to have a home cooked meal last night even if I had to cook it!!!😉😉

@Eve7 I agree with what @Anastasia has said. You got this sweetie, just one baby step at a time.

@Anastasia @Maggie @Former-Member many love and hugs to you all.

I think in times like this we all need that extra support 💕

I totally agree, as my first inclination when I'm feeling down is to push others away and not engage, rather going and hiding. It does make me feel worse, but at the same time, I battle

with the feelings of loneliness and that I'm a burden, and bring people down in the forum with what I'm going through. So I feel very torn on those days and sont know what to do. Usually I disappear for awhile. I don't feel fully accepted here at the forums yet.
