Re: not coping

there was alot to take in @NatureLover
no surgery at this point as the hernia is only 5cm rather then 10cm (10cm they operate). the lesions were mostly scarring so over the past while that i havent been having acidic foods and treating it like reflux it has helped heal those lesions

however i am severely lactose intolerant.
with the test an biopsy they done they tested for that. most peoples enzymes that can digest lactose sits around 20. Mine is under 5!

i walked in and he said i bet you are feeling like shite and i said yeh that sums it up and he say well this will be part of it. the hernia will still cause symptoms like some nausea etc but because im still having lactose and everything is so imflammed right through my digestive system its the main reason im not well.
itll take around 3 months of very strict diet to see a difference (maybe more) but i am that intolerant to it that he said my body can really only handle around 1 teaspoon (2 teaspoons at the very maximum) a day.
lactose (milk products) are even in bread and pastas so i have to be very careful and its really flipped my whole diet around. on top of this i also need to be on low carb, fat and low sugar diet
its been overwhelming trying to look through a foods list to see what foods are no lactose, low carb, no dairy, low sugar and low fat.

i asked him why i still felt yuck even when eating something healthy like a salad and he said because everything is so inflammed and reacting to the lactose ive been having it doesnt matter what i eat i wont feel too good. with the dietary changes he said that should subside slowly over time

@outlander

I am glad you got some answers hun even if it means going on a very strict diet. I can imagine trying to find foods you can have will be really tricky to do and it will mean a huge change in your diet.

Hoping you feel a little better within yourself now knowing what some of the problems are and how they can be treated.

I am hoping for your sake hun it gets better over time, I just wish there was a more instant cure for you hun 💜

Re: not coping

@outlander I am so very glad you have an answer that explains your terrible pain and nausea. I am really sorry though that it is going to take 3+ months for this to ease 😞 and I'm also sorry that food is now going to be hard to find. I was vegan for 2 years, and milk powder seems to be in everything, even salt and vinegar chips, if you can believe it. So you have all my sympathies.

Gosh, no wonder you are in such pain - everything must be so inflamed, being so severely lactose intolerant.

No wonder you are overwhelmed - this will be a big change in your lifestyle. Sending you a big hug...you must be feeling shell-shocked. 💔❤
