Re: not coping

@outlander, I feel you on migraine part. I was too sick to even pick up pain relief because I was too sick, I’m going my dad is able to do it instead. I hope your migraines settle down, hun. They really do get on your nerves

Re: not coping

@outlander, I thought I was the weird one for experiencing constant pain. Mine to fluctuate and only give me respite for a short time. It can go from mild to severe in one day. Mine also gets worse as the day goes on. Maybe it’s exhaustion for me. I don’t really know. I hope you are able to get answers

Re: not coping

it is tiring @creative_writer i also have nerve damage in my legs which is why i can have trouble walking and it took me some time to be able to walk at all.

Re: not coping

@outlander, I’m sorry, I can’t imagine what that is like to have nerve pain. Today is the first time I’ve had weakness on side of my body, I don’t know if it’s migraine related since it’s been so bad today. Feeling a bit unstable to walk right now. It is alarming to have to work extra hard to walk

Re: not coping

it is honestly awful @creative_writer
after my accident it took me 2 years to be able to walk without some sort of aid. i used moonboots and crutches then walking sticks and because of pain i occassionally had to go back to using crutches to get around.
walking is still a challange esp uphill/downhill, stairs or longer walks, i also cant like squat down and get back up by using my forefoot. there are times i get stuck on the floor because i cant get up and have to crawl around or stay sitting on the floor till i feel i can get up even if it means bracing against pain and getting back up anyway. i have to wear custom orthotics so i can walk in a safer manner. but the nerve damage in the legs is long lasting and there is no cure for them only management but i still have daily pain. i have also fallen down stairs and up stairs still and collapsed a few times but im greatful to be able to walk now.
the neck and face pain are another story lol but they create pain daily too.

i get weakness when ive had constant migraines or pain but if thats not normal for you i would def go get checked out as that can be anythng really.

Re: not coping

@outlander, I’m sorry to hear about the injury, it makes a lot of sense to feel the effects of it. Injuries are tough, hun. Living in chronic pain is tough.

The weakness is unusual, I just don’t know if it’s a new symptom of the migraine. I would have to get it checked out. I didn’t always have auras, but then they became a normal occurrence

Re: not coping

definently get checked out @creative_writer i would encourage as soon as possible just in case its something else. it might be good to see a neurologist as well to help manage your migraines and the effects.
