Re: not coping

thats scary @Captain24

i wouldnt be as worried here if we didnt have the horses. its alot to have to try and evacuate any animals that you cant just pick up and take with you.

i might go to bed early but i dont normally go to bed to early anyway. i only have a meeting tomorrow and then work tomorrow night but apart from that a quiet day here

what are you up to tomorrow

Re: not coping

This area is amazing for that @outlander. Anyone that is not in the fire zone offers up all their equipment and land to help evacuate animals!

At least you don’t have much on. I have a training day at work, a gp appointment and pick Pix up from the vet. She is going to be really sick after it.

Re: not coping

thata really good @Captain24 we are lucky that during massive fires a few years ago we all banded together to get livestock safe too.

wow your day sounds busy. i hope it all goes well and quickly for you. Pix is lucky to have such a good caring owner looking out for her

Re: not coping

It’s such good community spirit @outlander that is country towns for you though. In the most recent one a lot of people offered up their homes and cabins for the evacuated people.

I remember a massive fire several years ago that wiped out a whole community but it was that severe that the firies couldn’t even fight it. They just had to let it go. The fire even created its own storm cell! It created its own thunder and lightning. That was quite scary.

Yeah tomorrow’s pretty busy. The training day starts at 7:30. Dad has to take Pix to the vet at 8 the GP is during the training day. I will also get a call from the vet at some stage during the day as well. I’m not sure when I can pick her up but it will be after 3:30

Re: not coping

Hi @outlander

Sorry to hear you are struggling. I have had my moments in the past where I have struggled with depression and anxiety and it really sucks at times. So I know exactly what you are going through.

Did you find that there was anything in the past that helped you cope?

Here for you if you ever need to chat xx

Re: not coping

i need the treatment but its really intense and i know its so hard to go through esp since ill be going through it alone again @Snowie ive reduced the amount of care i had initally planned due to finances so at least i have enough for help to get there and back and abit put aside to help me get to the shops etc if i need

everything is just hard at the moment and its starting to affect my work as well. thats the last thing i wanted to do especially since its my new job and i enjoy this one
