Re: not coping

I’m trying to hold onto hope that I can build a more “normal” life soon. One where I’m not responsible for so much family and can do things when I want to without needing to constantly ask for help or making so many arrangements just for one day.

Re: not coping

Oh @outlander I'm sending you so many hugs your way 💛
You are not alone in this, we are here for you and can hear how much you are holding 💛

Responsibility with family can be so tough, I am a carer at home and I find it hard to find care for myself amongst all this.

I can hear that you are holding onto so much and things are sounding like its not going your way right now.

Please know that I am sitting right with you 💛

Re: not coping

its hard @fluffylight the person i care for is waitlisted for so many places at the moment but a spot cant come fast enough. im going to see if i can extend the respite services but theyre already pretty booked up.

i feel so selfish for it and i know itll be an uphill battle when theyre is a placement avalaible but i cant keep doing this and its only getting harder now that i have a job he cannot come to which means having to ask and hope family will help more even if they do whinge about it all the time

Re: not coping

Let them whinge away @outlander it’s time they realised how much you do and high time they pitch in and help.

Re: not coping

I'm sorry that receiving help has been slow, it sounds like it is something that is needed for this person you are caring for and for you as this will help ease some of the load you have had @outlander 💛

I can hear how hard this all is on you 💛 It sounds unfair that you are placed as the main person for caring.

I can really resonate with what you are sharing with the selfish feeling. You are recognising all the ways that it's getting harder on you, thank you for sharing 💛

How are you caring for yourself? I wonder if you do have time for this.

Re: not coping

i try @Eve7 it gets so draining though. every couple of days i seem to add to the waitlist when companies reply to me and i get a chance to put through the application paperwork that they request.
i hope within the next 3 months there will be a placement.

ive just been offerred a really good opportunity but its going to take more time away from my carers role but i dont want to give up yet another opportunity
