Coming to terms with reality

Coming to terms with reality

Hi Readers, i am suffering from "mental health issues" and it is an ongoing, daily battle. I am pretty much constantly wrestling with the thoughts going on in my mind. And my psychical life seems too be suffering for it. (There is a huge difference between physical and mental ) something is definitely not right! So each day I'm waking up and going about my routine. And over the last few days, weeks and months. I have been noticing changes in my mentality toward myself, others and life. And some questions such as, what is my life about? And what should my objectives be? Have arisen... of course like we all are, I'm subject too making decisions... and there has been the same options in front of me time and time again for months on end. And it becomes rather draining and mundane. And i feel myself going around in circles like something simple just ain't connecting.

I enjoy writing, art, music. And peace of mind... walking, reading, meditation. Taking care of myself. Socialising. Etcetera. Getting ahead, getting in front. Planning, dreaming and so on. And do my best to look after myself. While accepting that it can only ever be so much.

But there just something not quite right. And I'm suffering for it on a daily basis. And I'm tired and fed up with going through the same stuff everyday. And in all honesty. Alot of my suffering comes from prospective and thought processes.

Does anyone wanna talk with me about some things that might help? In particular dealing with people no matter who they are. Can be very stressful and cause lots of procrastinating about pros and cons. In particularly people who i think about reaching out to for support. Because of dilemmas dramas and social dynamics. And picking up on things that "aint really happening" "gut feelings type of stuff " "intuition" that type of thing. And enjoying time with people is great! I just tend to be overly preoccupied with symptoms to be worried about socialising sometimes "Symptoms which involves others"

@Adek evil is everywhere. And it is in everyone. But we have choices. We can choose to be good or we can choose to be bad. I know its a bit of a contradiction. But yeah. For me, apart of it was too. Repent and turn against the mistakes I've made. Coming clean. Head toward the light. Listen to my conscience. And another thing that helped. Has been helping others who are overwhelmed. Being there to support them.

@Appleblossom im really going to be pushing hard and changing the way i think about myself, reality, others and the stuff that goes on in my mind. And focusing on getting out of my comfort zone. Facing fears. Breaking the routine. We and so on. Changing it up. Gettinga new leash on life.

We are all trying...with our own ways and means @eudemonism. I was just crying and reading online the massacre in Burma wiping out 3k people..happening in 3 days..and the armies are now burning the bodies to conceal proof from UN & the world. We...are in no position to complain about our lives and surrounding as compared to them. Seeing their blacken bodies killed and burnt mercilessly shook me breathless. 😢😢😭

Re: Coming to terms with reality

Coming back to the system that we so much been speaking about..rather than looking at it as an outsider..perhaps being a part of it makes a difference. How? There are so many ways apart from what we are doing in here..sharing experiences in online forums. ie..being involved in group counseling organized by psy dept in hospitals. Attending psy forums held among psychiatrists, psychologists, care home operators and spiritual healer (organized here in medical institutions) and speak up during Q&A sessions. Visit the inpatients and voice their insights to the psy head of dept, study the pros and cons of meds and share on fb BP, schizo etc groups. Write a blog and share our day to day experience in combating the stigma and symptoms.

Be part of the system in our own way...not against it and try to make it better by voicing out to authorities our realtime experiences..on behalf of those like us who cant speak up, who suffer from side effects of the meds. Esp so since u @eudemonism has so much compassion towards people around u...whom u consider as family or not. Yes..our insights are sometimes overwhelming but as it sinks in the subconscious minds a lot can be derived from it. I believe..we are the stronger bunch who reach out..but there are 460k people out the suffering from bipolar symptoms alone..not to mention other MI who are trapped and couldn't do so...

I think @Former-Member..today i managed to convey whats been squirming in me since the day i walked in here. Hope i haven't spoken too recklessly...must be the racing thoughts causing me hypomanic again.

I must add in.. there's one BP patient here who goes in and out of psy ward too often he ended up hiring the psy inpatients as his parttime workers..doing simple beadings and embroidery for his scarves collection. Now..i was told by head of the dept he has workers in every psy ward throughout the country. Hehe..😂

Re: Coming to terms with reality

hello @Adek @eudemonism @Appleblossom

you have written some very powerful words with even more powerful meaning

how are you feeling now that you have released all of that energy?

there is much room for change and we all can be aware.. do our part when we are able

that is the key word able

we are all at different stages of our symptoms ...traumas....life journeys

we share on here to help release some of our pent up feelings....to offer others compassion and understanding letting them know that they too are valued......the world out there lets us down in this area generally speaking

we also at the same time must look after ourselves

If you have reached a part of your journey where you are well enough to help bring about change....I commend you and thank you

I myself am doing that here...that is my capability at this stage....

again I thank you for bringing so much to this thread

keep in touch
