Coming to terms with reality

Coming to terms with reality

Hi Readers, i am suffering from "mental health issues" and it is an ongoing, daily battle. I am pretty much constantly wrestling with the thoughts going on in my mind. And my psychical life seems too be suffering for it. (There is a huge difference between physical and mental ) something is definitely not right! So each day I'm waking up and going about my routine. And over the last few days, weeks and months. I have been noticing changes in my mentality toward myself, others and life. And some questions such as, what is my life about? And what should my objectives be? Have arisen... of course like we all are, I'm subject too making decisions... and there has been the same options in front of me time and time again for months on end. And it becomes rather draining and mundane. And i feel myself going around in circles like something simple just ain't connecting.

I enjoy writing, art, music. And peace of mind... walking, reading, meditation. Taking care of myself. Socialising. Etcetera. Getting ahead, getting in front. Planning, dreaming and so on. And do my best to look after myself. While accepting that it can only ever be so much.

But there just something not quite right. And I'm suffering for it on a daily basis. And I'm tired and fed up with going through the same stuff everyday. And in all honesty. Alot of my suffering comes from prospective and thought processes.

Does anyone wanna talk with me about some things that might help? In particular dealing with people no matter who they are. Can be very stressful and cause lots of procrastinating about pros and cons. In particularly people who i think about reaching out to for support. Because of dilemmas dramas and social dynamics. And picking up on things that "aint really happening" "gut feelings type of stuff " "intuition" that type of thing. And enjoying time with people is great! I just tend to be overly preoccupied with symptoms to be worried about socialising sometimes "Symptoms which involves others"

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

Yea @Zoe7 I'm hearing you... my mum adopted a sausage dog, and the dog had bad teeth; so mum being a responsible pet owner, spends $1,500 - $2,000 getting the dogs teeth fixed... madness really!
But as for myself and my experiences... i know something small at the vets, can end up costing alot of money... it adds up very quickly... at the start of this year, i was financial hardship because of vet bills... it took a good three months of struggling financially to get even again...

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

Our pets can certainly eat up our finances @eudemonism but they are worth it

I have been doing a little painting this morning but the light isn't great - it is quite dark and gloomy outside. I might get stuck into some of the papers I need to sort out instead.

What are you up to today?

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

Well @Zoe7 I've semi pursued getting a second puppy-made phone call to deli in a town up the road-got number-left message. & because I've not completely decided upon second dog or not-I've been asking friends for advice... although it's my final decision... it's good to get feedback from different angles and perspectives... ultimately-i am a fully grown adult and can make decisions for myself-however consider, i find that hard to do at times, as there is quite alot for myself to consider and take into account... regards responsibilities and consequences...

Apart from that- just going to have a relaxing down day at home-may go for a drive abit later...

It is definitely your decision @eudemonism and I trust you will make the right one for yourself I am having a quiet day - the weather doesn't allow for much else - so will be relaxing and doing some housework this afternoon.

No worries @Zoe7 yea I'm feeling rather contented and relaxed. However, i know there is always that next move i must make... that's always a big deal...

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

@Zoe7 I'm thinking that life is indeed very boring and monotonous... even lame... I'm thinking it's alot harder then it really needs to be... I'm thinking that this medication they've been giving me... is pretty much more or less-designed to help me live up to the expectations which society considers as normal... but i tell you right now...-it's definitely not my expectations of normal...

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

I think the term 'normal' is very subjective anyway @eudemonism What one person sees as normal another would not - we all have our own idea of what that is - society can impose a certain standard on us all but it is ultimately only ourselves that can achieve and/or live up to those expectations within the constrictions of our own life circumstances.

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

@Zoe7 I'm feeling off centre at the moment. I'm feeling tense, irritable and agitated. I'm not sure what I'm needing and wanting right now. I'm not sure what is causing these feelings. And I'm not sure how to properly deal with it... i don't really feel like doing anything. And i can't really rest and be at peace.

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

That sounds annoying and confusing @eudemonism - it is hard to settle when you feel like that. Sometimes it is just about pushing through those feelings until they dissipate slightly. It is not easy to do though. Did you get out for a drive today - if not maybe you could take Misty out for a while.
