Coming to terms with reality

Coming to terms with reality

Hi Readers, i am suffering from "mental health issues" and it is an ongoing, daily battle. I am pretty much constantly wrestling with the thoughts going on in my mind. And my psychical life seems too be suffering for it. (There is a huge difference between physical and mental ) something is definitely not right! So each day I'm waking up and going about my routine. And over the last few days, weeks and months. I have been noticing changes in my mentality toward myself, others and life. And some questions such as, what is my life about? And what should my objectives be? Have arisen... of course like we all are, I'm subject too making decisions... and there has been the same options in front of me time and time again for months on end. And it becomes rather draining and mundane. And i feel myself going around in circles like something simple just ain't connecting.

I enjoy writing, art, music. And peace of mind... walking, reading, meditation. Taking care of myself. Socialising. Etcetera. Getting ahead, getting in front. Planning, dreaming and so on. And do my best to look after myself. While accepting that it can only ever be so much.

But there just something not quite right. And I'm suffering for it on a daily basis. And I'm tired and fed up with going through the same stuff everyday. And in all honesty. Alot of my suffering comes from prospective and thought processes.

Does anyone wanna talk with me about some things that might help? In particular dealing with people no matter who they are. Can be very stressful and cause lots of procrastinating about pros and cons. In particularly people who i think about reaching out to for support. Because of dilemmas dramas and social dynamics. And picking up on things that "aint really happening" "gut feelings type of stuff " "intuition" that type of thing. And enjoying time with people is great! I just tend to be overly preoccupied with symptoms to be worried about socialising sometimes "Symptoms which involves others"

I know about bad days. I try not to get over optimistic cos then the thud is worse.

I am usually managing mixed states. My default mind is SI so it takes a lot of work to work around that. I also experience chronic neck and back pain as well as my highly labile emotional life. I have responsibilities but no support, so I have to maintain some semblance of stability and positivity.

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

good morning @eudemonism

I read back over the last few pages to catch up on posts...

You mentioned that on the days you really struggle...that it is hard to distinguish what is real life and what is not..

That would be a very hard place to be in...

Getting through those times would be frightening I can only imagine..

Taking yourself out of the house and going for a drive with your dog works well for you sometimes doesn't it....A distraction for that amount of time...

You certainly achieved a lot the other day when you went shopping..

I have not heard of a hyssop plant...will have to research .....

did you manage to plant them?

Today I am going for a drive to meet up with younger son...

How am I feeling at the moment? I am struggling with side effects whilst weaning my sleeping tablets...

I am swinging between intense anxiety and agitation...plus some other side effects..

These side effects do not come close to what you go through each month after your injection..

You are a very strong young man

speak again

take care

Sophia

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

@Sophia1 i planted 1 and I'm giving the other 2 to my mum and grandma. I got them because it is mentioned in the bible. I'm hoping it is the same hyssop plant as there is several types. Plus it has medicinal and cooking properties. It's In the mint and oregano family.

Yea as for this not being able to tell if my thoughts are true or not... and linking them into my real life in the moment... i think we all do it...

It's like hearing a noise outside at night... you know something is out there... but you don't know what it is... and if you hear the noise night after night???

Or it's like feeling bad about something you've done... and fearing punishment...
