Coming to terms with reality

Coming to terms with reality

Hi Readers, i am suffering from "mental health issues" and it is an ongoing, daily battle. I am pretty much constantly wrestling with the thoughts going on in my mind. And my psychical life seems too be suffering for it. (There is a huge difference between physical and mental ) something is definitely not right! So each day I'm waking up and going about my routine. And over the last few days, weeks and months. I have been noticing changes in my mentality toward myself, others and life. And some questions such as, what is my life about? And what should my objectives be? Have arisen... of course like we all are, I'm subject too making decisions... and there has been the same options in front of me time and time again for months on end. And it becomes rather draining and mundane. And i feel myself going around in circles like something simple just ain't connecting.

I enjoy writing, art, music. And peace of mind... walking, reading, meditation. Taking care of myself. Socialising. Etcetera. Getting ahead, getting in front. Planning, dreaming and so on. And do my best to look after myself. While accepting that it can only ever be so much.

But there just something not quite right. And I'm suffering for it on a daily basis. And I'm tired and fed up with going through the same stuff everyday. And in all honesty. Alot of my suffering comes from prospective and thought processes.

Does anyone wanna talk with me about some things that might help? In particular dealing with people no matter who they are. Can be very stressful and cause lots of procrastinating about pros and cons. In particularly people who i think about reaching out to for support. Because of dilemmas dramas and social dynamics. And picking up on things that "aint really happening" "gut feelings type of stuff " "intuition" that type of thing. And enjoying time with people is great! I just tend to be overly preoccupied with symptoms to be worried about socialising sometimes "Symptoms which involves others"

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

@eudemonism Hi Eude I am going really well this morning. Went out to a cafe with daughter did some shopping (only bought one chocolate). Humid outside will stay inside for the rest of the day. O0o0o0oo ... will check out the paper burning that you spoke about last night right now.

How are you going?

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

@eudemonism Just checked out the 'writing and paper burning' and will definitely try this out for negative emotions but also positive particularly when I am feeling overwhelmed. Thank you for sharing this with me.

Hello @eudemonism

I see that you have a new photograph...can't quite see what it is though...

I have another specialist appointment in the city....so long day

am over all of these appointments and more tests quite frankly...I know that I am not alone in this feeling..have several friends on the same merrygoround..

we had a couple over yesterday...one with cancer...husband has other health issues as well...they are fun to be with though..it was nice to entertain impromptu and casually...do not do much these days..

going to be a warm day here ..

what are you up to today?

Hello @Zoe7

I just wrote to eudemonism..

I have to miss out on the pool today...makes me feel grumpy..

will make up later in the week.

long drive down to specialist appointment again...

probably more testing so grumpy about that too.

so overall grumpy...

will allow that momentarily then tell myself to get over it and get on with it so to speak laugh.

have to get ready now .

have you heard when you are starting back at work yet?

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

Still no news about work @Sophia1 - will give it another couple of days and then email HR. We have a publc holiday on Thursday so will need to do it before then.

It sucks that you have to miss out on the pool today - I know the pool relaxes me and although it often makes me tired I do feel better after going there. I have the pool tomorrow and need to get there this week - will helo me waiting to hear about work.

@Zoe7

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

I haven't heard anything yet @Sophia1 My GP needed to send a letter addressing some questions HR had abut hours/days/times I could work (among other things). My GP was going to write that and send it last Wednesday. It then all needs to be organised with the Principal - it is not a quick process and I am afraid it is simply a waiting game for it all to be done. I have no idea how it is all going to look once that is all done but I am looking forward to being back at work - especially knowing I will be paid again (even though it won't be much it will all help)

Yes @Zoe7

understand these departments do not rush...

will be great to increase your income...

mostly will help you tremendously moving forward...

achieving returning to work..

I had about four or 5 months off of work due to deterioration of my health ..death in family...son's situation and other stuff...

eventually I went back and had two weeks of reintroduction...catching up on new stuff..that part was hard...

once I was back...left to myself...I loved it...really gave me a boost ...knowing that despite everything that had happened to me over the years and stuff out of my control....I got back in there ....I did well..

far better than any pill...

even though pills are necessary at times...

to be where you are now is huge progress...

hope that you hear soon..
