Coming to terms with reality

Coming to terms with reality

Hi Readers, i am suffering from "mental health issues" and it is an ongoing, daily battle. I am pretty much constantly wrestling with the thoughts going on in my mind. And my psychical life seems too be suffering for it. (There is a huge difference between physical and mental ) something is definitely not right! So each day I'm waking up and going about my routine. And over the last few days, weeks and months. I have been noticing changes in my mentality toward myself, others and life. And some questions such as, what is my life about? And what should my objectives be? Have arisen... of course like we all are, I'm subject too making decisions... and there has been the same options in front of me time and time again for months on end. And it becomes rather draining and mundane. And i feel myself going around in circles like something simple just ain't connecting.

I enjoy writing, art, music. And peace of mind... walking, reading, meditation. Taking care of myself. Socialising. Etcetera. Getting ahead, getting in front. Planning, dreaming and so on. And do my best to look after myself. While accepting that it can only ever be so much.

But there just something not quite right. And I'm suffering for it on a daily basis. And I'm tired and fed up with going through the same stuff everyday. And in all honesty. Alot of my suffering comes from prospective and thought processes.

Does anyone wanna talk with me about some things that might help? In particular dealing with people no matter who they are. Can be very stressful and cause lots of procrastinating about pros and cons. In particularly people who i think about reaching out to for support. Because of dilemmas dramas and social dynamics. And picking up on things that "aint really happening" "gut feelings type of stuff " "intuition" that type of thing. And enjoying time with people is great! I just tend to be overly preoccupied with symptoms to be worried about socialising sometimes "Symptoms which involves others"

Hello @eudemonism

I don't see you as being self-centred at all..

So many of us responding to your posts are constantly encouraging you keep on writing about how you are feeling...

use this space as a safe area to vent....

this you have done...

if the overwhelming intensity has started to settle slightly you might be questioning your thinking...

going over and over in your mind what you have thought then and what you are thinking now...

you have done nothing wrong..you have not acted childishly or been inconsiderate.

How about giving yourself some time off from thinking....a holiday away from your mind....a well-earned rest...

Your mind is not going anywhere...so you can just try to focus more on what you can do to get you out and about...

I woke up at 7.00am ...felt blech and dosed until 9.00am....the world has not stopped...the day is the same..

I have allowed myself some further rest...time out...

hoping that you find some enjoyment in your day Eude

Take care

Sophia

hello @eudemonism

You do sound tired and drained Eude..

You have been self analysing for some time now....that is very exhausting...

Sometimes I think that I have not had the answer for so long...

then I ask myself....am I in fact asking the right question...

Sometimes that actually works for me...

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

I don't think I'm analysing myself @Sophia1 if anything I'm analysing others and reality... I've had plenty of rest last night and this afternoon, I'm just finding that, I'm really discouraged and disheartened about people and the ways of the world... drugs and alcohol being everywhere i turn is one problem... people who think they know it all everywhere i turn another problem... self centred people everywhere i turn also another problem...

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

Doing ok here Eude. Had to buy a new vacuum cleaner today because mine died last yesterday - just one more expense I could have done without. Had to use my 'emergency' money so don't have that to fall back on now if needed. Need to be back at work soon so I have some money coming in. Planning on mowing the lawn tomorrow after a couple of hours babysitting for someone who needs to do some things around her home without her little girl underfoot. That should be fun but will be tiring.

What have you been up to today @eudemonism?

I am feeling quite drained too Eude...

@eudemonism

Part of that being my body still healing...a very slow and draining process...

I do realise that I have come a long way in the last seven months..

reminding myself of that makes a difference...

do you remind yourself of how far you have come?....I have followed your journey for the last year...

I have been listening to music videos for most of the afternoon...

cooking a chicken korma curry...

how about you?

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

I've had three options to socialise with groups of people to day, and have food and beverage @Zoe7 i slept from 11 till 3 because i wasn't feeling real good, with mind fog and fatigue. I had usual phone call with friend. I tried reaching out and connecting with friend, although his phone was off. I got invited to a pizza lunch with good people, however no ciggies or coffee made me decline. I slept in till about 9.
After i woke in the afternoon i went and seen a friend who lives close by. They were having fish snd chips. He was there with friends, friends kids, neighbours and family. Again i wasn't feeling real bright or sharp. So i declined and tried to call and connect with friend I tried to call in the morning and this time he answered. So i went and seen him, because i knew i could get a few ciggies from him; his mum offered to cook tea, had tea and then came home.

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

Seems like you have had an up and down day all around @eudemonism It is no fun trying to connect with people when you don't feel up to it. Glad you finally got hold of your friend though and had something to eat with your mum. Sounds like you need a quiet night. I am planning on an early night so I can be up early to do a few things before I need to go out.
