Coming to terms with reality

Coming to terms with reality

Hi Readers, i am suffering from "mental health issues" and it is an ongoing, daily battle. I am pretty much constantly wrestling with the thoughts going on in my mind. And my psychical life seems too be suffering for it. (There is a huge difference between physical and mental ) something is definitely not right! So each day I'm waking up and going about my routine. And over the last few days, weeks and months. I have been noticing changes in my mentality toward myself, others and life. And some questions such as, what is my life about? And what should my objectives be? Have arisen... of course like we all are, I'm subject too making decisions... and there has been the same options in front of me time and time again for months on end. And it becomes rather draining and mundane. And i feel myself going around in circles like something simple just ain't connecting.

I enjoy writing, art, music. And peace of mind... walking, reading, meditation. Taking care of myself. Socialising. Etcetera. Getting ahead, getting in front. Planning, dreaming and so on. And do my best to look after myself. While accepting that it can only ever be so much.

But there just something not quite right. And I'm suffering for it on a daily basis. And I'm tired and fed up with going through the same stuff everyday. And in all honesty. Alot of my suffering comes from prospective and thought processes.

Does anyone wanna talk with me about some things that might help? In particular dealing with people no matter who they are. Can be very stressful and cause lots of procrastinating about pros and cons. In particularly people who i think about reaching out to for support. Because of dilemmas dramas and social dynamics. And picking up on things that "aint really happening" "gut feelings type of stuff " "intuition" that type of thing. And enjoying time with people is great! I just tend to be overly preoccupied with symptoms to be worried about socialising sometimes "Symptoms which involves others"

That is an incredibly hard place to be @eudemonism I am happy to talk it through with you - let's work out what you can do today to help you get passed this today.

What is the weather like - can you get out into the garden and take some of the feelings out on doing some weeding - I am going to try to do the same a bit later on ...I can't do it in the full sun as I have photosensitivity from one of the meds I am atking.

I'm just going to lay down, self loathe, enjoy the peace and quiet, have a few cigarettes. And try not to think about how screwed in the head our capitalist system is...

That actually sounds like a great plan @eudemonism - you are looking after yourself so that is positive despite how disappointed you are after your appointment. That shows great strength also - I will be around on and off this afternoon so tag me when you need and I will get back to you as soon as I can

@eudemonism ..... maybe sign up for online study for now ? That way you are still working with the challenges, even if you’re not up to the social stuff yet.

Yea @Zoe7 I've heard of that sensitivity to sun thing before. Not real good. I might make a tea in half hour. I've pushed the support worker and professional's away. I said i would like yourself and alll the professionals to never contact myself again. Otherwise I'll be making an official compliant about abuse and harassment. I sent the text while in the doctor's waiting room. No such thing as believing in a full recovery for myself from the doctor today.

@Zoe798% of my doctor's appointment and interactions with professionals are based around complaining about what They and the system are doing to me. The other 2% is based around trying to go along with them.

Oh that would be so hard to hear @eudemonism and would certainly be adding to how you are feeling. Some times it is not about a full recovery though and learning to deal with what we are faced with in the best possible way. That does however take time and support and if you push everyone away then when you get stuck in the darkness it is that much harder to come out of it. So many of us here understand how hard this is but you can get through this Eude - it just really sucks at the moment.

@Zoe7 I'm going to return to my prior condition before the professionals intervened. Life was good back then.
