Talking about not talking

Talking about not talking

@Former-Member and @Zoe7 thanks for your replies in the other thread. Figured I would make a new thread for this stuff so that if there is more to say/not-say, it can be said/not-said here.

Feeling yuck, useless, good for nothing, idiotic, weak and cowardly

Ciao 4 now.

Re: Talking about not talking

I'm delivering my version of your plane plants to you @TheVorticon. I'm sending them over because you help me feel understood, heard and cared for, which to me says you're definitely not useless, idiotic, good for nothing etc.

It doesn't really matter what I think about you at the moment though, because it matters that you're feeling it yourself and those feelings suck a lot.

I hope there's something that's good about your day today (even if it is just in eating Mario Bros chocolate cupcakes maybe).

Re: Talking about not talking

hello @TheVorticon

hope that those dreadful feelings have passed

I agree with @CheerBear

sometimes we just dont want to be placated....just listened to and heard....allowed to get through the mess knowing that others have noticed and care about us

here with you talking about not talking

Re: Talking about not talking

How does anyone keep doing the things they need to do? It's hard to see a point to continuing just to meet more of the same. I'm not sad, not happy, I'm just nothing. I don't want to keep trying.
Thank you for the messages and for the Mario cupcakes - both are very cool.

Re: Talking about not talking

I'm feeling so bad tonight. Opened up a blank email to send to a helpline, but there's no words. Dunno what they'd be able to help with anyway. Maybe I'm the embodiment of one of those old "I can't even" memes.

Re: Talking about not talking

Trying not to let the empty feelings win this morning. Trying a bit to connect with others a little. Old childhood toy resting on my arm. It's too hot to stay in bed but I still can't face getting up. Episode Two - On a Scale of One to Even.

Re: Talking about not talking

I'm really curious to know more about you @TheVorticon. Things like what this old childhood toy is and what type of music and movies you like, but I also don't want to pry and I know sometimes it's hard to share here or sometimes people don't want to share this kind of stuff.

I don't know where you are but I have thought you were where I am before (no idea why). After hearing you say you're too hot, I'm realising I've been wrong. It's so cold here this morning!

Re: Talking about not talking

@CheerBear I feel like the toy is a bit too personal to share details about on here. But he's soft, stuffed with a combination of plastic beans and stuffing, has had to be stitched up in a couple of places over the years, has quite a bit of flattened/pilled "fur", and he was named after a TV/comic character who he looks nothing like aside from being the same animal species. Because apparently that's how little Vorticon chose names at the time.

Music varies a bit - at the moment I'm into nightcore remixes of pop/rock/dance songs. Sped up and dance-able stuff.

Type of movie - anything with a plot really. If I'm watching it alone, I usually pick something with a bit of emotional interest, so that can mean 'chick flicks' (even really terrible ones that I would NEVER admit to watching!) sometimes. Otherwise sci fi is tops. Comedy if I'm watching it with someone else. Things just aren't as funny when watching alone.

Hopefully that satisfies some curiosity

Haha I've sometimes thought similarly - based on nothing - that we might be living in the same general area... Until you started talking about it being cold on days that were warm for me!

Re: Talking about not talking

I so enjoyed reading this post @TheVorticon 🙂 Thank you for sharing some more of you (and satisfying my curiousity!).

I think it's really cool that you have your creature from when you were a little TheVorticon, and that you watch chick flicks that are terrible and you wouldn't admit watching.

I also love dance music and recently went through a thing listening to and finding funky dance remixes of 80s and 90s songs. I'm currently going through a bit of a tropical house phase and love any uplifting dance music, probably mostly because anything that hits a nerve (not hard to do) can feel too much.

That's funny that you thought similarly re our locations, for no reason really. I'll stop looking for a TheVorticon riding a skateboard in a random empty carpark on weekend mornings now 😉 (not meaning that to sound as remotely creepy as it probably did :S )

I hope today is ok for you 🙂
