Hi @Ali585,
I don't think we have met. I'm sorry to hear that you are super struggling tonight. Have you felt like this before? Has something in particular happened that's led to you feeling this way?

Hi.
I haven't been very active on here. I have had a lot of episodes feeling like this. But have been fairly well for the 2 years. No SH or thoughts of suicide since 2015.
I can't think of any trigger for feeling like this again. and thats half the stress. i dont know whats wrong so i dont know how to fix it. and im scared to reach out for help because my expereinces before were so horrible

@Ali585 I can definitely relate to having had lots of horrible experiences when reaching out for help!
How long have you been feeling like this? I know my mood can be affected by a bazillion things aside from triggers; hormones, eating too much junk food, not getting outside enough, being physically unwell, to name just a few.

It's been a few days now. It's not as bad during the day. But at night I just get overwhelmed by these thoughts of hurting myself. And I'm not coping or sleeping. And I don't know what to do

sometime anxiety can come back even without a trigger @Ali585
try not to focus on what has casued it but rather what can you do to help yourself through it
do you ahve any coping strategies or remember what helped you before?

my main coping strategy used to be to have a bath but unfortunately i had to move and dont have one anymore...
I am trying to watch TV and use this forum. It's too dark and cold to go for a walk
I can't concentrate well enough to read.

do you have any other strategies that help?
maybe mindfullness? colouring in or drawing? some sort of craft idea?

@Ali585 That sucks not having a bath at your place. A bath is one of my go-to strategies as well.
When you were struggling like this back in 2015, did you find any helpful people such as a GP or psychologist? I have a ridiculously long history of finding extremely UNhelpful people, but I know that having just one helpful person to turn to can be SUPER helpful. For me at the moment, this person is my GP - it only took me 39 years to find a good one. ![]()
Do you have anyone that you can talk to about what's going on for you at the moment?

@outlander not really sorry. i can do colouring when im in the right mood. but that's not tonight. Sorry. it just seems so hopeless.
@Phoenix_Rising I have a psychiatrist who is very good. but she is on leave for another couple of weeks. and i don't know if i can keep going that long.

are you able to see another psychiatrist in the meantime until yours returns @Ali585
how about calling a hotline tonight and asking for their support as well. sometimes it helps to jsut be able to talk to someone about whats going on for you
