@outlander yup. The book is by Margaret Attwood. It was written in 1985 and it's scary how relevent it is now. I studied the book in first year uni many eons ago!

I am feeling okay today - a bit of retail therapy helps a lot - even though I have spent hours finguring out the DVR with so many new apps -

Yesterday I was talking to someone about Netflix - my computer tells me what they have playing and maybe sometime I will get around to having cable - the Free-to-Air programmes can be pretty ordinary but I think I can access more with this new device - I am still trying to find the right buttons on the remote control - but yes - I have heard about the History Channel and that sounds really interesting

I have spent enough money lately - time to sit and wait for whatever might happen - I love medical shows too - and I have just started getting interested in Diagnosis Murder because it comes on right before Star Trek - The New Generation

@outlander enjoy the book! Let me know what you think. It's more subtle than the series but I think it's because the series is so visual. The cinematography is beautiful!

i would like to watch more medical shows but i cant casue it sets of my anxiety so i ahve to be well enough to handle one episode. i tried to watch one the other day and only got through 15 minutes of it and i had to turn it off.

yes history channel is there too- you shoudl watch the handmaids tale- i reackon you would like it. its abit full on though. @embers is right, the relevance it ahs now despite it beng old is scary and if amercia keeps going the way it is it might end up like it!
