The great yoga adventure

The great yoga adventure

Hi all,

So...somehow I seem to have made myself a deal with @CheerBear that we are both going to venture into the super scary world of yoga next Monday. I'm SCARED!!!! I've been trying to psych myself up to go to a class for about a year and now thanks to a pesky little care bear, it seems like it is going to happen next Monday.

I have my mat and my outfit (and thanks to @Former-Member and @Former-Member I know to wear underpants under yoga pants ). Now I just need to find some courage. Hmmm...courage...I'm sure I have some here SOMEWHERE in my shell...

Only six sleeps away. This sounds way too close. Yep, this little turtle is going to need to do some serious psyching up before next Monday!!! All encouragement is warmly welcome.

Doing some threading of that needle this week! I have my class tomorrow, so looking forward to that!

Yoga does my back so much good, it can be strengthening and stretching for the sore muscles when I get stressed out @Phoenix_Rising

Hello @Phoenix_Rising

Im sorry to hear things are tricky for you, its easy to let stuff go when things get tough but thats when we need to use them the most. Hope your back is not suffering too much.

Yes I am still having a go at my poses. I have just had a go at the threading of my needles. That was a nice relaxing and easy pose too. Thank you.

Take care and I hope things get a bit better soon.

Re: The great yoga adventure

Good evening everybody,

Things are still distinctly tricky in my world, but I have been yoga-ing over the past couple of days. I am super excited because all that dolphining last week has super improved my ability to do a forearm stand. I think I agree with @Ant7 - being upside down is fun!

@Former-Member I'm super glad you are enjoying our rather quirky yoga group.

@frog I am enjoying threading the yoga needle too. As for sewing...yeah...I have no idea at all!

@Former-Member I am going to aim to get to a yoga class tomorrow too. Normally I go on Mondays, but because of my muddle this week I haven't actually left the house since Thursday. I am going to summons up all my super turtle super power to get to a class tomorrow night. I super like it when you appear in our yoga group.

@Former-Member you seem to be appearing in Forum Land at all sorts of random times at the moment. I super like it when you appear.

@Shaz51 Yay for needle threading!

I wonder where @Adge is this week. He's probably busy polishing the giant trophy that I gave him for being the most committed yogi the other week. Although...I did find this picture of someone threading a needle and for some reason it made me think of you @Adge.

Happy yoga-ing.

Yes I think I fell off the trophy stand, or dropped the trophy - after getting such a lovely impressive trophy (last week)...

It's been a bit rough this past week, plus the hot weather is hitting me hard.

My energy levels go way down in Summer, & I've already been sunburnt (last week) whilst with clients at work - I still got sunburnt through sunscreen, whilst wearing a hat (all day)...

I'm afraid my yoga-ing got left behind somewhere with my water bottle, when I dropped (& lost) it the other day...

Hello @Phoenix_Rising and @Shaz51

I super like popping in too. I am not moderating much at the moment but I still bob along into the forums to see how you are going and check on our yoga. I will get back to threading my needles now.

Take care, MummaMia

Yes I think it's great that our Moderators are so into our yoga-ing here.

It's really encouraging & supportive, & refreshing...

Re: The great yoga adventure

So I went to class the other day, and she made me do inversions and weird things going upside down to help with my back. I also did some needle-threading to get into those wonderful shoulder muscles and give them a good stretch. Felt so good.
