The great yoga adventure

The great yoga adventure

Hi all,

So...somehow I seem to have made myself a deal with @CheerBear that we are both going to venture into the super scary world of yoga next Monday. I'm SCARED!!!! I've been trying to psych myself up to go to a class for about a year and now thanks to a pesky little care bear, it seems like it is going to happen next Monday.

I have my mat and my outfit (and thanks to @Former-Member and @Former-Member I know to wear underpants under yoga pants ). Now I just need to find some courage. Hmmm...courage...I'm sure I have some here SOMEWHERE in my shell...

Only six sleeps away. This sounds way too close. Yep, this little turtle is going to need to do some serious psyching up before next Monday!!! All encouragement is warmly welcome.

Re: The great yoga adventure

I eagled. My daughter is out so I stood in front of the full length mirror on the inside of her wardrobe door and eagled like a - well - eagle. It actually helped with balance to see my reflection.
There aren't any mirrors at the yoga studio I go to which is a good thing in a way. Hope they don't put any in with the renovations happening.
Could I have a Pygmy baby goat please? Running out of space here.

Re: The great yoga adventure

I almost went to sleep without eagleing but the thought of the little goat made me climb out of bed just to be an eagle. I'm naming my goats after the Seven Dwarfs, so tonight's will be aptly named - Sleepy 🙂

Hi @everyone, a fine line of eagles. Good to see!

I treed again earlier tonight, @Phoenix_Rising. That makes three tree poses for me. I figure, since I'm so far behind, I'll just tree for the equivalent of a week (7 days total) and then attempt the challenging task of moving on to another pose. Slow and steady etc. Also today asked at the local mental health centre about gentle yoga classes that may be coming up soon. Now have my name on the list for when that happens. Also did some research and found a general community yoga class locally that happens at the reasonable hour of 1.30pm. The class is for seniors. Do I qualify at 55, I wonder? I know for sure I need it to be extra gentle. Will ring and find out tomorrow.

I do hope that you will soon start yoga classes @Mazarita. I find them extremely beneficial. Good on you for being a tree.

Re: The great yoga adventure

Good morning,

I see we had some late eaglers last night. I have my notifications set such that I only get a notification if I'm tagged. Thus don't forget to tag me if you want to claim your baby goat.

@soul Running out of room for baby goats already? And the week is still young! Ok, this one doesn't take up too much space.

@TheVorticon I super love the fact that you climbed out of bed to eagle. That made me smile a lot! Here is your new baby goat, Sleepy, as your reward.

@Mazarita Three trees this week - that is super awesome. My yoga teacher is constantly saying that it is ok to not be able to do a pose "correctly," you just do what your body can do. I think that logic can be extended to the idea that it is totally ok to do an entirely different pose. Trees, eagles, they aren't so different. They are both living things that live on planet earth so really, they are almost the same thing. Here are two baby goats to go with the first one you received. I am super excited that you are investigating yoga classes out there in the real world (although I bet you don't find one that gives away free baby goats!).

Have a nice day everybody.

Re: The great yoga adventure

Well @Phoenix_Rising - that was totally worth the wait to get such a cute little baby goat. Does it come with or without the boot? Maybe I'll get another one of those today and I'll have a pair - hopefully not two left or two right boots. Won't be doing those Eagle poses with the boots on though. I was having trouble with loading the Sane pages last night so I couldn't tag you.

Wonder if there will be a give away offer next week? Such an incentive to practise!
