Yes @Appleblossom! - what a wonderful post. Your endurance, faith and resilience is really paying off now. Yes life has a lot of twists and turns and can throw some big curveballs - but you are now enjoying the rewards of your perseverance, passion (for music/singing) and friendships that are blossoming. The latter takes time and nurturing but worth sticking around for. Life is hard but precious. The alternative doesn't offer much I figure. And we all have much to offer in our own ways....all depends on choices.
So good to read of your son enjoying life for a bit too - the sun is rising to greet you both. May it keep you warm as your presence does many people who come into your path. Keep believing in you. Keep in touch xxxx
@Former-Member - have been thinking about you. How is your daughter now? I hope you are alright - we care, please remember that. Here if you wish to talk anytime. Sending a warm hug xx 😘
Hi @Bunniekins - I had a good time with my friend today. She really opened up to me - the stress of her husband's declining health (stage 4 lung and bone cancer) is really getting to her. I know all about that and could relate. I am glad she felt she could talk to me. She is overwhelmed but we managed to laugh as well - and I won bingo three times lol! :money_mouth_face: Just when I needed it to cover the extravagant costs of my cross stitch/embroidery project - beads and fine Metallicas are expensive!! So I must of done something good 😄
I do have a love for the arts. I also enjoy academic studies but my heart was always in the theatre, writing, music - anything creative. Cross stitch and embroidery came later in life - as did radio astronomy that I use to undertake in correlation with radio telescopes I had on my old farm (no light pollution, it was wonderful and exciting - we were part of the SETI programme) - astronomy and such is fascinating to me but not possible to do well on the East Coast where I live now. It was a good experience while it lasted.
I have so many varied interests. I was awarded a scholarship when in high school by an Arts school to study mainly drama. But my childhood home abuse ruined mostly everything above.....but it's never too late, I still enjoy engaging in those activities. So happy to read that you are still studying and pursuing your interests/dreams. It does keep the grey matter active - also our passion for living. I love reading stories like that and they are inspirational to others. Keep going.
What made you particularly interested in volcanos? There is a unique fascination about them and seeing an active one would be awesome. How was your day? xx
