Something’s not right

-Enigma-

I have given up now - no one can say it was not without a fight. But then no one on heaven and earth would give a damn anyway. I gave from the heart and it was a joy to help others. I felt such peace with that. I never did it for anything in return ever, I did it because I truly cared and felt so much genuine compassion towards others. I was promised dreams and peace would come true even though I never asked. It felt so good to know I made someone's lives a bit better.

Why is it that people like me are then faced with so much heartache, injustice, trauma and adversity that seeks to do everything in its power to destroy that good, to take the little good and peace I had, to utterly destroy me. Why?

I had always been there when possible others times of need - now that I truly need someone I have been all but abandoned by those I knew and those in the spirit. I realise now everything was a lie and feel utterless helpless and lost. I have lost everything and don't see the point in being here. I hope I don't wake up to another day of despair.

Re: Over The Edge

Hello @Maggie@Owlunar and all,

I just returned home from the mirage of medical tests. Surprisingly I was in top spirits without an ounce of anxiety. Hubby isn't feeling too well but I managed to keep his spirits up a short well. I armed myself with my coping mechanisms to take my mind off things and read an interesting book through the hours of waiting. I enjoyed the reading. So I am home now and we are both relaxed. I feel very positive about all the outcomes of his tests - if anything is amiss he will beat it with my support.

I went to sleep at 1:00 am this morning after having a 7 and hours of unbroken sleep, without waking up once. This seems to help my nerves. If I am up and down all night I tend to wake up shaking. Interesting - must be something to do with my body clock. So today I have coped quite well. I even went for a 20 min brisk walk to work on my cardio vascular health and did some housework. Nice to be active again.

I will go downstairs soon and cook a nice pasta dish and some stewed fruit and custard. It will warm us up - we have had a quite an unexpected turn in the weather as it's been a cold day, must be snowing somewhere. It wouldn't last no doubt as spring is around the corner.

I will also do some more stitching tonight as I am making good progress on my cross stitch project. How is yours going @Maggie? Tomorrow I am off to bingo again and am looking forward to a good day out with friends. Hope I win something! It's all a lot of fun.

My daughter has been away for three days and this may also account for the reason why my anxiety has settled. She texted today saying she is helping a friend clean their house for an inspection 😳😵 To which we immediately replied "that's great, you can now also clean your room and bathroom etc so we can inspect what the floor looks like again!!! 🤔😡😵😝 Goes to show how much she takes advantage of us. She never lifts a finger here. We are very hopeful she will think of boarding with this friend!

How was your day @Maggie and @Owlunar? How are you both feeling? Can't wait to hear all about it xx

Re: Over The Edge

@Former-Member I'm just thrilled that things are going so well today. I did understand a lot when I read your daughter is away, just goes to show how she's dragging you both down. Fingers crossed she will decide to board with thus friend, it would make so much difference in both your lives.

When will you get the results back. You are right you know, with your support, hubby will beat whatever. You are good together.

You are probably cooking up a storm right now, I'm on the verge of watching the bold and the beautiful, you would never read the book if it was in print @Former-Member. Do you feel up to starting your writing thread???

I finished my cross stitch today. Yay, it's finally done.

My friend has taken her sisters cockatiel into the hospital today. It's her sisters bird and she hasn't seen him for months. She's stressed with all the extra running around atm, she needs a break, but because of the bird can't really go away anywhere. I've offered, but he's a handful she says. Lol. She's always threatening to put him in the microwave for 30 seconds.

Its a beautiful day here, but a white frost this morning and cold. Snow on the mountains.

Keep positive if you can. I hope you both relax doing something you like tonight. Take care. Warm thoughts.

Hi @Former-Member

I am glad the day with the tests is over - of course your husband won't feel well after being proked and podded and poke and prodded whatever they did - I know the tests I had on my spine were invasive - eg - the radio-active bone scan - aw - tests can be really uncomfortable

And I am glad also that you had a good book to read and used your time reading instead of fidgeting or whatever you do when something like that is happening - I tend to grind my teeth - not a good idea either

Yes - your daughter can do better and she is using you - but whatever you have to do about her will not be easy - perhaps forcing her to watch Dr Phil might help - geez - I would like to be a guest and challenge him to abusive adult children and what to do about them - we need to experience that to really know the path out is througth the nettles and not around them - I get it

@Maggie

When I got married my ex-h had a cockatiel - no microwaves then but cornflakes - yes - this darn bird would yell for cornflakes - Like CORNFLAKES CORNFLAKES CORNFLAKES until I gave him some and he would peck my fingers when I pushed them through the bars of his cage - this bird was a menace.

When our son was born and I had to stay home with the baby it was a case that if ex-h wanted the bird I would take the baby and leave - and the bird went and I forget where now

They can get so jealous - but so get that you could take the bird into hospital for your friend could see him - or whoever took the bird in - they can talk a lot - and screech too

Mixed feelings about some birds

Re: Over The Edge

Hi @Owlunar This cockatiel is like a naughty child. He screams, throws tantrums and bites, then he can be Prince Charming. He's driving my friend mad, but it's her sisters bird and she's trying to do all she can to help. Give me a dog any day.

Did your cat sharpen his claws for your return home @Owlunar?????? So glad you had a lovely break, the zoo sounded amaZing, but so did the ferry ride, and the tan. Enjoy your day.

Re: Over The Edge

Hi @Maggie and @Owlunar

My husband also had radioactive tests - one CT and nuclear tests. They are invasive. Surpringly I felt good again today. Went to bingo and won. I had a good day. Returned home to take my husband to the GP. He is not well - unusually fatigued and blood pressure is high. His cancer tests are stable which is good - but they have found stones in his bladder, so he is following that up with a specialist. He is so weak at the moment he can hardly walk. Not sure what to do but take it a day at a time at the moment. It never ends my friends.

I have two cockatiels and the male is a real talker at times, occasionally will schreik but isn't a problem - the female never makes a sound but will sing a beautiful tune at sunset ocaasionally. They are good birds, sounds like I am lucky.

I am very tired at the moment. I hope we can find the reason for my husband son weakness and fatigue. It really is living from moment to moment. Tomorrow I will be cleaning most of the day as I have more to do now. And my brother may be coming up to stay on the weekend. Very busy times. How was your day @Maggie@Owlunar? 🤗xx

Hi @Former-Member

I am glad to hear you had a good day. I have been thinking of you. Perhaps take your husband for a drive and head down to the beach for sunshine and soft drink/cofeee by the ocean. It might be worthwhile for him to see someone re exercise because it may help his confidence/self esteem

I went to GP, she wanted me to go in after my blood test from last Friday and I had a problem with my renal function and she now wants me to have repeat blood test and ultrasound.

I am still really exhausted and I am worried my depression is worsening. I am not sure what to do. I am feeling a bit scared and unsure of myself but I know this will pass.

Don't spend too much time inside tomorrow - go out and enjoy the freshair and do something nice for you. Let me know how you get on tomorrow.

Re: Over The Edge

Hi @oceangirl

Thank you 😊Seems we have cross posted and thinking of each other at the same time as I just posted under your post! The worry of your latest renal tests may be having a bearing on your depressive state. I am going through this with my husband - being really positive with the overall end result will keep depression at bay. It's hard whilst going through it though and talking about it with someone who will listen and support is important my friend. Can you talk freely with your parents? Was there a renal health issue in your family in the past that may have you worrying about your health? What were the results of the renal test that has your GP concerned?

You are right my friend this will pass for you but for now keep talking as much as you need as I am listening. Lots of love ❤️

Re: Over The Edge

@Former-Member

Your welcome . I don't think my recent increase in symtoms(depression), it is not from any recent medical stuff. I think its been some sort of trigger that may have caused the worsening of my depression and anxiety. But you are probably right my physical health is likely to have some affect too. I try to take things in my stride. I think that is one of my strengths.

I have a history of chronic renal problems, it started when I lived on the Central Coast. I am not overly concerned about my health but I think when I get anxious I tend to worry a bit more, I think that mite be human nature.

Please know I am here for you anytime. I am feeling a bit tired. Keep your chin up
