Something’s not right

-Enigma-

I have given up now - no one can say it was not without a fight. But then no one on heaven and earth would give a damn anyway. I gave from the heart and it was a joy to help others. I felt such peace with that. I never did it for anything in return ever, I did it because I truly cared and felt so much genuine compassion towards others. I was promised dreams and peace would come true even though I never asked. It felt so good to know I made someone's lives a bit better.

Why is it that people like me are then faced with so much heartache, injustice, trauma and adversity that seeks to do everything in its power to destroy that good, to take the little good and peace I had, to utterly destroy me. Why?

I had always been there when possible others times of need - now that I truly need someone I have been all but abandoned by those I knew and those in the spirit. I realise now everything was a lie and feel utterless helpless and lost. I have lost everything and don't see the point in being here. I hope I don't wake up to another day of despair.

Hi @Former-Member

I'm hoping you're feeling good today, and your back is better for you too. Good luck with the sale of your property, I hope you get the price you're after and the new built goes smoothly. You are amazing and enjoy the beach. See you on the beach my beautiful friend..

Re: -Enigma-

Thanks @Former-Member. I am a little better this morning. I managed to get in to see a physio yesterday afternoon, someone cancelled which got me in. Lots of massage, some manual traction, TENS machine and heat packs. It now means that instead of the intense screaming pain, it has reduced to a dull and constant ache. But bearable now, and I am going to try to get to the shops a little later. Need to, nothing left in the house. Besides hubby has a medical appointment, so I need to get out anyway. Just an essentials shop today I think - milk, bread, fresh fruit and veges.

Thanks for thinking of me, all of you who posted. How about you Enigma, has your crook back settled down a little too?

Sherry

Re: -Enigma-

@Former-Member You are so used to the caring role, it might be hard to cut back on household and acreage tasks and manage your own spinal health. It is important to be proactive about it as when it goes, its an giant issue. I am glad it has responded to treatment.

@outlanderI cancelled the trip as a noise in the front wheel bay of my car made it unwise. Booked it in for Monday. There is always something ...

@Former-Member Glad you are well, tho I know you always stretch yourself. They were good posts to read.

One of my issues is that I did not take the usual route of moving away from problems. I used to get involved and try and help. I am getting wiser about my own effort and needs. It may not have been simply a sign of my folly, but a sign of my social circumstances.

Take Care All

Re: -Enigma-

Hi @Former-Member - so good to read that your back is better today. My hubby does the same treatment for his neck and it reduces the pain for him too. A good thing you got into your physio so soon and were able to get up to the shops today. I do understand the pressures of caring and it's deeply wired in us to not let anyone down. And we push.....but pleased to read you were proactive with self care. As @Appleblossom said if we don't it can put us in a dire situation.

My back seized up again today. Every time I push it physically now it seems to happen. This has just started to occur since I have been pushing myself physically. I am such a sight cleaning and groaning! I have been advised so far it's due to the weakening of my bones (osteomalacia - vit d deficiency). This has come at the worst time as preparing the house for sale and moving, helping my friend and hubby is so physically demanding (as you know). I just don't have any choice but to push on but it may be damaging my back as it has to be a gradual build up of activity over time for me I was advised. I yelped in pain this afternoon, I just have no other choice but to push on.. It will be easier once the house is sold as then I can gradually build my back strength up again - I am also on mega doses of vit D. So it will take time.

Otherwise things are looking up. Life does throw us some challenges at times doesn't it. I am fairly positive my back should improve over time. Just wish it didn't decide to go on me now lol. So glad you found relief to carry on. You are wonderful in the way you care for your husband. xx

@Appleblossom, sorry to read that you had mechanical problems and didn't get to have your night out. I hope it's something easily fixed. I am glad you liked my posts - I always enjoy reading yours and find them uplifting. I feel so relaxed with you, Sherry, Adge, outlander, oceangirl and others that pop in here. I feel I can just be myself which is so important. xxx 💞

@outlander@Shaz51 - thank you for thinking of me and your well wishes ❤️

Re: -Enigma-

Hi @Former-Member It sounds like you've had a lot on.

With a seized up back & still going ahead with photo shoots etc.

I've been following along as much as possible, thanks.

I've been feeling really ill & weak today - I actually vomited in my psychologist's appointment this morning.

Rather embarrassing, although she took it well (gave me a bucket).

Nausea & feeling weak, lasting all day = virus most likely (not a panic attack, as psych thought).
