Hello dear @Appleblossom - your post above to me could of been me writing about how I am feeling. It does become very draining over time, I so empathise. Good to read that you have good things planned on the horizon. What I have found helped me was to keep a rountine of "normalcy" as much as possible (even when in reality my life circumstances were far from it). Most days I wake up not wanting to do anything, so have had to push myself to my volunteering, walks, going to different events, even shopping etc. I have felt better as a result - but did find myself feeling drained each morning having to repeat "that push" every day. I would dig a hole for myself if I gave into that tiredness - sometimes of life - so yes you are right we must keep optimistic as those good moments experienced by these efforts to act against how I felt has been worth it. The good in life is there - I fight to not let the not so good events shadow it completely and for me that has been the key to enable me to keep moving forward under difficult circumstances and grief.
Are you still going to your singing choir events? How is the zoo volunteering going? Self care is so important right now and I am glad you have supports in place - what you are going through I can appreciate the gravity of and how hard it can be. Here for you my friend xxxx
Thats wonderful news that your daughter is feeling better @Bunniekins, and is determined to keep it that way. The latter will build the resilience to succeed - and with the love of her mother and good professional care she has every chance at life. I am the same as you - I fear sun cancers and had been wearing sunscreen every time I ventured outdoors. I did not realise how sick that could make me. My doctor suggested 10-15 mins in the midday sun exposing as much skin as possible (and legal lol), without sunscreen to absorb the natural vitamin D together with huge dosages of this vitamin compounded which I start next week. It will be so wonderful to get a boost of energy back and feel alive again. Please keep me updated to the progress of your daughter. Are you going okay also?
Hi @Former-Member - I thought I did see Dune on the screen quite a few years back and it did lose my interest. Glad to read it's nothing like the book - the movie adaptations never usually are. I will see if I can get the books in paper back - I prefer this to reading on screen. The audio version sounds good too - may try and google and track this down. I enjoy audio books. I use to listen to quite a lot whilst sewing - the latest one was the Anne Frank story. How are you going today?
Hi @oceangirl - how is Milo today? Hope he is resting comfortably and not in too much pain. With your loving care I have no doubt he will be back to good health in no time. If I was a dog and could hand pick an owner it would be you hands down!! Seriously lol. You are such a gentle, kind nurturing soul - you definitely chose the right career path to study in my humble opinion. Look forward to catching up 😘
Good afternoon @outlander - I hope you feel asleep last night with pleasant thoughts. You deserve some peace and the future will bring you many good things. But I know how you feel - it would be nice to feel better now!! I hope the day is showing you some more pleasant moments. I am also waiting to feel better and for things with my daughter to fall into place and wish it could happen soon - that is my elusive dream. She doesn't seem healthy herself. She is still asleep and went to bed at 11:00pm last night. It is now nearly 2:00pm. A bit of a worry. But I am trying to keep a rountine of normalcy going........
I am off to do some more cleaning now as my brother comes tomorrow. It has turned very cold here presently so am not looking forward to venturing out in it tomorrow night. I do have to toughen up - I am a fair weather person but do love the rain. Speak again soon and sending lots of love to all xxx ❤️
