hello @Former-Member
I am totally confused about the forgiving comment
I have mainly been following one thread where I feel that I can be of the most help and by giving receive the same back
I look at others occasionally
I dont have notification emails on either so not sure if that is what you are referring to
lovely to see that your relationship with your son is stronger and helping you to feel needed
lapses you haven't upset me yet....you won't upset me in the future....so lose the thought
if I don't respond to something it is about me not you and nothing you have done or said
does that sound as clear as mud???
ps I am a postcard and card sender.. collector
take care

Did your friend's comments about moving motivate you more to take that step @Former-Member? Nice to have someone there to talk to. Daughter is out again after waking up late. Asked if she would be home for dinner. She doesn't know. I wanted to cook something nice but won't bother if it's just me. A while back when I lived on my own, I cooked twice a week. I froze portions and alternated between the two dishes. It was usually a chicken pasta bake and chilli beef with rice. I knew I needed nutrition but couldn't be bothered to make an effort much more than I did.
Cherish this time with your son. If he finds another person to share his life with, you may well be relegated once more. It's just the way it is. I'm missing my son play football now that the season is over. Probably won't see him this weekend but will try to organise a dinner together for next Saturday or Sunday night.
I, too went through a stage when I thought my kids would be better off without me. They would at the very least, have a greater inheritance. It makes me so happy when they ask for my opinion or seek my help. That's what I live for. If it wasn't for them - I don't know ...
Feeling very lonely but haven't got the confidence to do anything about it. Sometimes, it's just easier to talk to the dog and bird. I guess they need me too.

Hi @Former-Member That was such a lovely bright picture. I hope your son is having a nice holiday.
Hi @outlander, Hi everyone.
I had to take 14 year old Minx puss to the vet this afternoon (after my Dentist fillings) - not good.
A spinal degenerative disease, not much hope or treatment for Minx (by the sounds of it).
