Hi @Former-Member - how sweet that your son messages you before his light takes off. It's exciting for the both of you. Hope he keeps in touch throughout his trip and has lots of fun.
The little birdie here is chattering away. Came back from a long walk with the pooch (not so far in distance - only 3kms but long in that she likes to stop and sniff and pee every five metres)
There in the car park next to my daughter's car is a giant heap of gravel and mulch. The place across the way has changed owners and they are renovating. I cleared stuff out of the garage and then had to ask them to shovel some of the mulch away so I could get in the car and put it in the garage. Already it is filthy with dust. Will have to close the windows and doors when they start moving it into the garden. They gave me a feeble apology and said that they should have probably had it dumped across the other side (where they have two of their cars parked 😤) Not looking forward to the mess that will most likely be left right next to our townhouse.
Just hope the dust doesn't drift over to the washing I have hung out - white sheets and towels.

Thanks @Maggie, @soul,All I did getting help was open yourself up to being judged and criticism and as I am hypersensitive to this all my life due to childhood obesity, doesn't take much to know it's not help.Yesterday the girl in the office thought I'd be interested in my report,I didn't ask for it.The only thing I can hope is that the conduct of this doctor in this surgery will be scrutinized.I have a feeling that I'm not the only one who has experienced this with her.I have to allow for her to got this from the notes of the psychologist ,but because of her accusation of me Dr shopping I believe it came from her.
I have to challenge this soul because I am so offended and insulted.

Absolutely none of what you have been through is acceptable @Former-Member It is very easy for some so-called 'professionals' to sit back, charge a fortune for their services and then not actually 'treat' the individual. I am so sorry you have been put in this position - and all because you were seeking help. The whole system has let you down and it is NOT good enough. I can understand completely how devestating this has all been for you but you are worthwhile and you are valuable you just can't see it when you are so low. That is why we all here support you and will continue to tell you - because we do care ![]()
I don't often post here but I do read along alot and this time I felt so outraged for you that I needed to let you know I am also sitting with you.
You have shown such courage in contacting the doctor's surgery and centrelink - and even more courage to make a complaint - very, very courageous - and that courage is often something some of us lack in situations like yours @Former-Member - that shows you do still have the strength within in you to keep going - it just feels more suppressed because of you MI.
Sitting with you and thinking of you... ![]()

I so empathise with your present situation @Former-Member I have now been off work for a year this week - and work used to be my life too. All my social interactions were through work, all my 'achievements' were through work, all my 'spare time' was put into work - and no I can barely move let alone work. The boredom and time to 'think' makes living with a MI so very much harder. There is no outlet for distraction and certainly no energy to maintain any sort of 'physical wellness'. It is a vicious circle - and we are both within that circle - but that also means we are not alone - and that gives me some hope and I hope it can give you some too ![]()
