I was out walking on the weekend @Owlunar and saw an old guy trimming the edges of his footpath with the same style of clippers that my Dad used. He's been gone eight years now. I stopped and had a chat with that man and told him about my father and his daily ritual of tending the footpath (large corner block so it kept him occupied) He could have bought a whipper snipper but preferred to do it all manually.
It brought a couple of tears to my eyes.

It brought happy tears to my eyes reading about how your Dad liked clipping the grass around your block
My dad used to service his own car - did the whole thing and taught me how to do that myself -
I have great memories of my Dad - I am very sure that you do too
