Re: Good Morning!

So is this a reconnaisance trip before the more semi permanent move or is this the actual move? I'm a bit confused @Faith-and-Hope

Re: Good Morning!

Sort-of reconnaissance trip @soul ....

WH would prefer to live here so we have been spending a lot of time here .... it has much more of the European lifestyle , but more importantly, the sort of foods that drive WH's eating disordered behaviours .... so he had set a pattern of flying us all over here for long weekends and school holidays, then stocks the freezers back in wa with cases full of food from here ....

He actually has most of his wardrobe here ..... so needless to say, he is thrilled with having S2 as an excuse to move here .... 😔

With S2 being unwell and in therapy we haven't been able to come. This is our first trip in about three months .... so ..... all of the above .....

Getting S2 out of the house to actually do something, and he wants to be here, although you wouldn't know it today cos he hasn't gotten out of bed.

WH needs to restock his freezers and pantry stores.

We have a business meeting in Sydney on the weekend, but that's a day trip from here.

Reconaisaance for S2 - where to live, where uni campuses are, etc

WH is in party mode .... fridge already stocked with b*nge foods (his CHSP habit is explained under the What's New discussion topic on the LE Home Page)

Re: Good Morning!

Workaholic WH was absent working 7 day weeks ...... MIL actively oppositional to my household management and child-rearing ideas ..... my family in a different city .....

It was rough.

Learned to dance in the rain ..... 💃☔️

Re: Good Morning!

You are a survivor @Faith-and-Hope. Can identify with the MIL thing. She always thought I wasn't good enough. If she only knew what her son got up to ........... But then she'd probably make excuses for him. But then maybe not as her ex husband was cut from the same cloth. The apple didn't fall far from the tree.

Re: Good Morning!

That's part of our problem now @soul .... a state if mind and corresponding behaviours have triggered in WH .... and he has turned into a semblance of his father without realising it ....

Re: Good Morning!

That is a worry @Faith-and-Hope. Fortunately, my son is very different from his father. He lives with him but I'm secretly hoping that it won't be so for too much longer. Hopefully he will spread his wings and seek new opportunities. At the moment he works just a five minute drive away from his home so it's convenient and as I understand it he doesn't see much of him. My ex husband was never a hands on father. I always felt like a single parent.

I would love for my son to live with me again but my daughter has blatantly said that she doesn't want that to happen and her mental health has swayed me into not suggesting it to him. I think she would have issues when her boyfriend comes over as he stays the night regularly. Only have a small place at the moment and it would be a bit too cosy.

It is a good way to let me see how human nature works and to have insight into the very elder community world. We all hope to reach a grand age and at 94 this woman is no exception. Take the good days with the not so goood. May you have a pleasanr week @Former-Member and good wishes come your way. Bimby2
