Re: Good Morning!

Thanks @Former-Member .....

No friends here, and extended family spread NSW and Qld way so not clis enough for company, but I will make friends progressively. The harder part is leaving our married kids over there .... splitting the family esp if they become ready to have their own children, but trying not to dwell on any of that at the moment and just take the baby steps.

Re: Good Morning!

I often say to my girl, things can change for the better, overnight and same with you @Faith-and-Hope I believe something good will happen for you too, with your family. When you least expect it.

Also, you are such a kind, caring, friendly person. It won't take you long to make friends, that's for sure. xo For you, I guess church is the best place to find some friends, when you're ready, of course.

Ok, twins, that's nice. I'll bet it was busy when they were young.

Has the 17 year old finished school? Are they all living at home?

Please don't feel obligated to answer my questions. Just having a chat and no need to disclose anything you don't want to.

I better head off here now, lots to do before school pick up. Hopefully we'll both have a good sleep tonight. @Ant7

Re: Good Morning!

@Former-Member Yeah the twin were hard work when they were young but it was all worth it. The 17 year old is in year 11 and yeah they are all still at home wich is nice. Yeah I hope we both get a good night sleep

Re: Good Morning!

Nice that they're still home @Ant7

I'm in no hurry at all for mine to leave, that's for sure.

This time I'm really going off here.

Re: Good Morning!

There are twins amongst my five @Ant7 ....

Yeah @Former-Member .... I believe things can change suddenly and for the better. Have to see where this path takes us. We already attend a church when we are here, and know the general ropes, so if I start adding ✅'s to things, it's not all bad. I also know of other families where the adult kids have moved out for a while, then back again.... and S2 will be a somewhat different person in two years time. Hopefully WH will be too, and there is scope for holidays together as a family .....

Just have days where I feel a bit sorry for myself, but that is natural too .... have to keep situational depression from setting in wherever I can, and set that example for the kids where I can.

Re: Good Morning!

Did you get that foot massage @Faith-and-Hope?

Re: Good Morning!

Yes @soul .... and it really seems to help. I need to feel cared for, even though I am paying someone to be caring for me.

Re: Good Morning!

I understand @Faith-and-Hope - how are the men folk doing? Did WH and S2 come over with you?

Re: Good Morning!

Yes. WH is heavily into his regimen .... but exhausted too. Missed the gym, being in-flight, and didn't go for a jog last night, but didn't eat lunch or dinner either .... then up and back into it this morning .... including the drive out to his coffee / breakfast place .....

S2 has barely surfaced from his room since he got here, and having been reigned in over being controlling, there is nothing WH can do about it .... but it has got him thinking. He has just said he is gong to skip driving out to the coffee place after the gym, and see whether the kids will watch a movie with him ....complaining again that he is really tired.

I am a bit worried about him but can only monitor ... he is using heat packs all day to support his body temperature .... guess he will start missing more jogs and gym time if he is suffering increasing fatigue. That might get him back to the dr ....
