Caring for a wife with Borderline Personality Disorder- Sequel to Diary of wife’s hospital stay - holding it together for our family.

This discussion is a follow on from my previous thread Diary of wife’s hospital stay - holding it together for our family, a thread I started when my wife was admitted to hospital for the third time in 6 months and when everything around me seemed to be falling apart. It was a space where I could vent and express my emotions and helped me to process a particularly difficult time not only in my own life but for our family and helped me to hold myself together in order to support my family. For that I am most grateful.

Those of you who were following our journey will know that on my darlings return home I have been encouraged by my councillor to implement some loving boundaries, (lovingly implemented guidelines, not as rules to be enforced), and some self-care for myself.

Now that my darling is home the purpose of this new thread is to document our journey of healing and implementing new boundaries and commitment to self-care, not only so that I can have a visual plan for myself (a bit of self-accountability to follow through with plans in place) but in the hope that it may help others processing similar trials. It will also be an opportunity to track our progress over time.

Hey @Former-Member

@soul alternative thearapy is chiropractic adjustment and bars therapy.
Bars is somthing to do with preassure points and clearing pathways what ever that means.

*Important to note that this is as well as not in place if traditional medicine approach.

If at the very least this takes the edge off things then it will be worth it. I know the chiro has made a difference for me. Reading on the bars I think it is worth a try.

There were no supprises with the chiro scans and xrays this afternoon bssed on the little bit I have learned over the last couple.of month.

Never heard of bars therapy. Thought for a moment it involved going to a pub or night club 😆 Probably not the best idea.

Sounds good for the body anyway so may make a difference @Determined.

I hadn't heard of it until recently either @soul

Some of what they seems a little far fetched but I can see how it may provide some assistance with emotional regulation. Certinally worth the investment to find out I think.

lol @Faith-and-Hope
I would not mind the better known version however I fear the reaults may only be short lived and create more problems. Could be fun during testing to try it out though 😅
