Seeing doctors when you don't leave the flat?

Seeing doctors when you don't leave the flat?

I hardly leave my flat due to bipolar depression, social anxiety and crohn's disease, all of which I've been dealing with for decades. Over time it's been getting harder and harder for me to get out to even see doctors. I haven't seen my psych doctor for over 6 months because of this and my meds are running out. No matter how much I tell myself I 'have to' go to the doctors, days, weeks and months go by and I just don't get myself to do it. Does anyone have any suggestions about what to do in this situation? I was thinking of calling one of those 24 hour mobile doctor companies. Not ideal but better than no doctor I guess? Interested to hear if there are any other suggestions.

@JacquesSo maybe thats part of why we clicked. Nanna had 9.

MyDutch clan outnumbered and towered over my lonely abandoned Aussie dad. Though I loved them and pulled my weight. They didnt really support my widowed mum. I am angry at them now because I dont think they were responsible but they like fancy real estate. Mum ridiculed dad for not being in the "real" war. he was "only" in the Pacific. I am also sick of war stories when I lived in a peacetime country but had to suffer more death (3 Australian born died prematurely) and difficulty. I know have to get over it, but I dont have to like it.

Hi @PeppiPatty

sorry i didn't write this morning, i had to sleep, i was so tired, slept till 1pm, can't believe how much i sleep, i seem to be only able to stay awake for 2 hours at a time lately.

yes @WombatBoots, @Former-Member and @Crazy_Bug_Lady are quiet this week, maybe a good sign, maybe they have had a busy week.

yes that sounds like a great idea, what where you thinking of, just a journal or one on the forum?

maybe something different, i don't know, i have never writteen a journal before.

you sound better today, a bit more settled, have you had a good day?

well better write to some more people.

Take Care

Jacques

yes you may be right, maybe that is why you are such a rebel, the viking in us, hey.

Wow 9, my grandmother had 7 and 7 miscarrages. 14 would have been to many for me to even contemplate, oh the joy of being catholic i suppose.

yes my mother had a big family and dad only had his mother, wow we really do have similar backgrounds, yes my father was never "suitable" for my mother because he was not wealthy, he was disliked by the family and was never able to fit in. i think that is what contributed to his death, he was always trying to prove he was to a certain "standard", worthy of my mother. so sad, he was never going to achieve that. so in the end all he had was mum and me.

my family never spoke of the war, i was suppose to have had 2 uncles fought on the german side and one on the australian side.

hi @Appleblossom

Im just back from my Psychotherapist. ...?

Awesome. I got some memories cleared up.

ShE agreed with me that councelling is silly billy....years and years of analysis........so old school. Shes focusing on infroducing Kinesology......very cool.

Ille need to read up on that.

I brought Arlo..she thought he was gorgeous. Naturally.

She said:

Yes, my dreams are correct, my Dad did bully me out of my home.

That my Mum will never ever do anything for me unless she gets something out of it. That she never should have been allowed to give birth to me.

Also, that..yes......its a very good idea to move.

Im seeing her again on 21st.

Hey @PeppiPatty

Sorry I've not been on here much lately. I've not had much time lately... Been thinking about you all though, as I do class you all as friends.

I've never really journalled before. What do I do?? I'm up for trying it though. 🙂

Thinking of you all

dear @CrazyBugLady

Im not quite sure what journalling is.....i think you write in a book every day. All i know is that : i was going through some stuff and saw some writing i did when my ex husband was really ill.....so i was under huge stress and what i wrote was not of what was happening but the people sitting around me at the Doctors. It was a good read b,ecause also i remember of all the stress i was under. So.....

I was thinking......i so so enjoy writing to you all, why dont we all.....maybe commit to something.....

I dunno, ide like to start writing in a journal every day and share it with all you sometimes.....maybe someone would like to commit to watching Seinfeld every day....

Or beginning a piggy bank.

Or eating dark chocolate ....

Just write what comes into your head. If nothing comes, do it another day. Then eventually you can use process to process thoughts and daily situations.

Hi gorgeous crazy bug lady.

About journalling: I like the idea that @PeppiPatty brought up about sometimes writing not so much about our troubles but maybe more what is going on around us in the physical world. Here's a paragraph of writing about the little that's happening here in this moment:

Disembodied voices coming from the television I am not watching. Behind closed blinds, a distant child's voice from the flats next door. The low, serious actor's voices again, a drama. Max is watching from his chair. Whirring fingers on and off my keyboard. Round pool of light on the wall from the desk lamp. TV voice says, "I understand what that feels like."

Not much to write home about, lol. But it did bring me into focus on the physical reality of my life at this present moment and was a bit of fun in slightly adjusting the words before posting. Is this the kind of thing you were thinking about, @PeppiPatty?
