Re: when is it time for hospital

The movie was ok except for mini meltdown but the kids enjoyed it and were quiet. We got take away for lunch but ate out. We are at home now watching another movie. Narnia part2 and doing a few little crafty things like headband making.
Im feeling pretty tired and all that reaching out for driving and carrying things have made my arm/back hurt so will try to rest it as much as possible for now.

Re: when is it time for hospital

hey @outlander
today i am also feeling totally worthless/useless
seeing all those people graduate at uni today makes me think they are all doing great and going places.. that i am a failure and that i wont amount to anything. That I should give up. That I am a waste... the list goes on..

What i remind myself of is a great quote that i read once and i want to share it with you.

"We are going to die, and that makes us the lucky ones. Most people are never going to die because they are never going to be born. The potential people who could have been here in my place but who will in fact never see the light of day outnumber the sand grains of Arabia. Certainly those unborn ghosts include greater poets than Keats, scientists greater than Newton. We know this because the set of possible people allowed by our DNA so massively exceeds the set of actual people. In the teeth of these stupefying odds it is you and I, in our ordinariness, that are here.We privileged few, who won the lottery of birth against all odds"

It reminds me that my existence is an amazing feat in itself. What i also remind myself is that just because things are not ideal now, that the odds seem stacked against me.. does not mean they will be that way forevermore. Things can and definitely do change. Despite the ultimate shittiness and darkness there can be change.. it'll just take time.

You are indeed valuable @outlander .. always resolve to remember this in the darkest hours

@outlander,just try to enjoy the time without your mother, her tool and Pop,I know the surgery niggling pain of stitches but it's always amazing how fast skin heals.

@Sans911,yes mum has been back since Sunday, been battling with her she's difficult and demanding and failing at the same time. She stresses me.She now sees my doctor, don't know if that's a good thing. Both got appointments in the morning ,I have to check in for mental health.Dont know @Sans 911 Im in a catch 22 ,if anything happens to her I'm homeless, got two other siblings who sit back and wait for money but have little to do with her.I live with that over my head everyday, can't get a job and the stress and pressure of caring for her gets me down.

I'd do anything like @outlander,to have my own life and be independent, family do get you down when you are struggling.

Re: when is it time for hospital

@Former-Member even though you and your mother see the same GP, she/he shouldn't be sharing your health or medical details with your mother. It's a breach of confidentiality and can't be broken except with your permission. I'm sorry you have no choice but to live with her for now; that's a hard thing to do. Perhaps try a little to get along, it's probably the last thing you want to do, but it give you a little peace and calmness. You need that & you deserve it. You say you can't work, but can you volunteer for anything? Just something to get you out of the house and some independence. Plus it's a good way to build skills. I know you aren't happy at all with yourself and your life, but it does not have to be like this forever if you don't want it to be. Hugs @Former-Member. I care a great deal about you, and it would be nice to see you even a teeny tiny bit feeling better about you and your life.
