Re: Emotional impulsve disorder

Hi @lostleo

Emotional impulsive disorder is an alternative name for Botderline Personality Disorder. I don't have BPD or EID but I'm sure @Phoenix-Rising and @BlueBay can help you.

I'm glad you've joined the SANE forums. I'm sire you'll find everyone here very friendly and helpful.

Welcome!

Re: Emotional impulsve disorder

Sorry @lostleo. If I could help I would. Is there some way the group can give you some support - maybe dealing with symptoms?

Hey @lostleo. I just noticed there is a thread on BPD a few down. You might glean something from that.

Thanks all,I just read about BPD ,years ago I was told I had bipolar and I certainly suffer from anxiety , is it possible to have traits from several different disorders ?

Re: Emotional impulsve disorder

Yes it is possible to have traits of different types of disorders. BPD and Bipolar are very similar in some ways but the length of your miid swings tend to make it clear which one you have. BPD cycles very rapidly and faster than Bipolar. This of course is a generalisations and there are always exceptions.

Re: Emotional impulsve disorder

I have bipolar @lostleo and I've found it really helps me but it can take quite a while to find the right combination.

Re: Emotional impulsve disorder

When you first start taking medications a small dose is better than a large one bit once you've been on the meds for a while the doc will know if the med needs increasing or not @lostleo
