Did you keep your counselling appt this afternoon @Determined? If you did I hope it was useful.

Kept the councilling appointment @soul
I think it was productive, cant remember much of what we talked about, I know we talked about boundaries for when my darling comes home, going to meet again to work on that in the week that she comes home, but that was only a small part of it and I cant remember much else.
Would have to say that it was useful, have more confidence in the lady than after previous visits. Gut feel rather than any logical reasoning.

Sounds like parts of your appt. might have been a bit of a blur for you @Determined. That hour sure goes quickly doesn't it? My sessions would start with the psych asking how I had been and then it would just all flow from there sometimes very erratically as I thought about what else happened during that week or fortnight.
I'm sure that I wouldn't have derived just as much benefit from a empathetic non judgemental friend but I have decided to give them a break for now.

Sounds somewhat like it may have started out today @soul
Discussing clear acceptable (lovingly implemented) boundaries with someone not emotionally invested was benifical,

Yeah - good to have that third person perspective. No one taking sides.

Lecturer wants a first draft by tomorrow, should be working on it now but too drained after this afternoon so will get up early tomorrow and get a start.
Lecturer happy with my progress through. Frustrating thing is that I know what needs to be done but just cant get it down. No concentration or drive left in the tank.
