@HenryX I can't take screenshots. However if I'm tagged I get an explicit statement "x mentioned you in SANE Forums" otherwise I get a header "Re: the name of the thread". I've tried to explain. Also in the Notifications link if I'm tagged the format has an icon with the @ symbol otherwise I'm just told that someone has replied to the thread I'm following

That's really the best I can do to try to explain.

@HenryX I just caught up with this thread.

I did not receive a notification that I was tagged either.

So I think the technical realities somehow 'miss' your tagging and do not register in the notifications, even thought in your post it "appears" as if tagged and in blue hypertext. So a weird way that you both can be right.

Pepper Puss has about doubled in size @Dimity She has a healthy full Tummy.

Still shredding tissues all over the floor, kicking the cat Litter out of the Litter tray (over the entire kitchen), & stealing my Highlighter Pens - To bat down the corridor, like toys...

I have nowhere to go on Christmas day, & no-one to spend Christmas with.

That's been the case, for several years now.

That was one of only 2 Christmas Functions - That actually are my Entire (only) Christmas, in fact.

It was run by a MH organisation, & was free (no cost to members).

So the Devil Won this Round (Battle)....

I had fish, chips and salad tonight @Shaz51 and I'm off to bed now as I'm going out to breakfast early in the morning. It's a bit of a fancy do so I need to shower wash and blow dry my hair and dress up like a fancy person lol. This does not match my current mood but Ill make an effort.

@Adge Pepper Puss doing kitten things... my kitten enjoyed chasing balls of crumpled paper and pieces of string, and diving under sheets of newspaper. Enjoy her.

I'm so sorry you missed your celebration. Xmas day I'll be catching up with two family members I see perhaps 2-3 times a year. I've lost touch with so many family and friends. It's also a lonely time remembering those who have passed. I've had several Xmases alone and the better days were when I managed to attend a church service then cook a special dinner to treat myself. Music for the day also made a difference. I hope the Forums have a party.

Yes music can be helpful.

Cooking a special meal for yourself sounds a great idea.

Yes now that you've reminded me - Forums do usually have a Christmas Day Virtual Party or get-together - for those who want to, or who don't have family things on.

Quite a bit of fun - nice to have somewhere to connect with people on the day.

I had to run next door and ask my neighbour to do up my pearls as my manicured nails just couldn’t come to the task ,

Some people looked like they were dressed for the Melbourne Cup but I didn’t go to that extreme and wore a simple cotton dress with my pearls and sparkly sandals.

The speaker was good with an interesting life story.
