14th year house bound

14th year house bound

Hi Everyone,

I am new hear, after being removed from other mental health forums for my depressive thoughts i thought i would give this forum a try, this is my story.

I am 33 live with my mother, i am almost compeatly housebound, i leave my house once in the morning for a walk at 6am and maybe once during the week, both times i leave the house fill me with great anxiety, i have no friends, (the last friend i had was in 2001), i have never had a job, never had a girlfriend and never been able to leave my parents side, my father died in 2001 and i have always suffered seperation anxiety the last time i had a night away from home was 1994 for one night (parents had to pick me up at midnight because i was so frantic).

I have spent most of the past 14 years in my room, or the shed, never much out of the yard, no one in my town knows me, people stare and ask each other behind my back if any one knows who i am.

I have only had an income for the past year and spend the previous 7 with no income at all, mum had to use all of her life savings to allow me to live with her and she now has nothing.

I only want to live long enough to care for her in her old age and then i plan to take my own life, i knew from an early age my life would turn out like this, but had no idea how horrible it would be, every day is the same, i often wonder why i keep going, i have very little contact with family (maybe once a year) and i am really struggling to keep going.

Please don't feel distressed about what i am saying, and i am so sorry if i have offended anyone, it is just how i feel.

Their is so much more, but i will leave it at that for the moment, i am shaking and the anxiety is kicking in so thankyou for reading and i will add more later.

Jacques

Hi Jacques

Thanks for the unconditional support yesterday.

I know you have a difficult day ahead with the electrician coming again. The end result will be positive. Not being afraid to use appliances or turn on the lights.

You are doing so well my friend, I am with you, and so proud that you have been able to help the electrician.

Thinking of you

No Problem @hiddenite, it is nice to be able to give something back.

I hope you are feeling better today, i worried about you last night, it was a tough day.

Well the electrician was not able to do the power points today, he spent most of the day getting the new stove working, anyway all the lights and stove now work and the fuse box has been completely rewired.

Mum and i had our first properly cooked meal in years, it was fantastic. i am so lucky.

Karen you are so sweet, thank you, you are a true friend, my adrenaline is pumping hard still, i am still hyped up, but am slowely calming down. i am very tired. will try not to go to sleep to early.

Karen how did you go today with centrelink? i have bee npraying all day that they help you, please just remember if they reject one application, their are always alternatives. i will help you through this, i had the same problems as you.

Please be kind to yourself my angel

Hi Jacques

I'm so happy that you had a nice meal with your mum

I went to centre link today I've been given a huge amount of paper work to fill out. See what happens.

My youngest is really unwell again it's so exhausting the cycle we are stuck in I just don't know how to make things better.

Rest up my friend you've had another busy day

Hi Karen,

Yes they do like their paperwork, don't they, i will have my fingers crossed you are able to get it and not have too much trouble.

Oh the poor little thing, i can't believe their is nothing the doctors can do, still with the coughing and wheezing? it must be a real strain for you.

If you need some support i am always here for you. whatever i can do for you i will.

Oh no, do you think it may be asthma? it seems odd she gets it so much, maybe you should take her to the doctors, their has to be something.

You poor thing, you must be so exhausted, and tomorrow too, you don't get a break do you, you are improving, i hope your treating team sees what i see.

Yes the forms are long and confusing aren't they, make sure if you have any troubles you take it with you to your treating team, they will be able to help you.

Please try to get some rest, i hope your little one settles down enough for you to get some rest.

Re: 14th year house bound

HI Jacquesues

I hope your day went well with the electrician and you get your house back.

I've seen a pediatrician and they want to do exploratory surgery and put camera down her throat. I've been avoiding having to do that as I don't want her anymore traumatized.

So it's not Asthma, they just tell me it's croup brought on by anxiety.

I made it back to centre link to hand in all the paperwork, hope I got all the questions right they were very confusing.

I also had my appointment with my treating team.

What a day after no sleep.

Thinking of you

Hi My Angel,

I hope your daughter managed last night, and you managed to get some rest, how did you go at centrelink?

Well not much happening here today, no electrician, looks like next week, i am just sitting here at the moment watching the little lambs run round and round the paddok, and they are headbutting too, so cute. they are going to be trouble when they grow up a bit, they are already exploring the water trough where past lambs have got themselves stuck.

It is overcast and could here today, i was so tired from the past couple of days i slept most of the day.

Well i hope your daughter is feeling better and i hope you are doing ok too.

Take care my angel

Jacques
