14th year house bound

14th year house bound

Hi Everyone,

I am new hear, after being removed from other mental health forums for my depressive thoughts i thought i would give this forum a try, this is my story.

I am 33 live with my mother, i am almost compeatly housebound, i leave my house once in the morning for a walk at 6am and maybe once during the week, both times i leave the house fill me with great anxiety, i have no friends, (the last friend i had was in 2001), i have never had a job, never had a girlfriend and never been able to leave my parents side, my father died in 2001 and i have always suffered seperation anxiety the last time i had a night away from home was 1994 for one night (parents had to pick me up at midnight because i was so frantic).

I have spent most of the past 14 years in my room, or the shed, never much out of the yard, no one in my town knows me, people stare and ask each other behind my back if any one knows who i am.

I have only had an income for the past year and spend the previous 7 with no income at all, mum had to use all of her life savings to allow me to live with her and she now has nothing.

I only want to live long enough to care for her in her old age and then i plan to take my own life, i knew from an early age my life would turn out like this, but had no idea how horrible it would be, every day is the same, i often wonder why i keep going, i have very little contact with family (maybe once a year) and i am really struggling to keep going.

Please don't feel distressed about what i am saying, and i am so sorry if i have offended anyone, it is just how i feel.

Their is so much more, but i will leave it at that for the moment, i am shaking and the anxiety is kicking in so thankyou for reading and i will add more later.

Jacques

Please call suicide callback service if things get too much, i am hoping we get to talk tonight, i have missed you today, i am so tired too Karen, i could not sleep much last night, i spent most of the night imagining you stroking my hand telling me everything is ok, over and over.

Be safe my angel. i understand how you feel, i am really anxious today too..

Re: 14th year house bound

Hi my Angel,

Well i am assuming that you are either having dinner/bed time with the girls or you are in the MHU, I do hope it is the former.

Karen i have missed you today, i do hope everything worked out alright at the Psych appointment, ,my thoughts are with you my friend, i know how overwhelmed you are, but i also know you are in desperate need of help.

If you are home, i hope we can speak tonight if you are up to it. If you are in the MHU i will write everyday even if you don't read this till you get home, i will speak to you every day my angel, i do hope my words give you strength, like your words give me.

Karen you are not alone, and will never be alone again, i am here for you unconditionally, you are my best friend. i care for you a lot.

Be safe My angel, my thoughts are always with you.

Re: 14th year house bound

Oh my angel,

It is a decision you will have to make, i will stand by you whatever your choice, but try not to think about it tonight, you are exhausted and it has been a really big day and night for you.

How did the girls go at their appointment?

How did you distract today? how are you tonight? are the dark thoughts worse or better?

Re: 14th year house bound

The girls psychologist appointment is tomorrow. I also have an appointment with my treating team.

I promised myself I would never go back. I can't do this again j. It's too much. There are a barrage of dark thoughts.

What am I going to do.

Either way I end up hurting the girls

Re: 14th year house bound

Karen, you need to be safe, make sure you call all the numbers you have to just be safe.

I know you promised you would never go back, but before you did not have my support, this time you will Karen, i will be here every day supporting you if you go back to the MHU, i will talk to you every day. be with you in spirit.

Karen i am holding your hand tight, i know how scary the dark thoughts are, i know how much you are struggling and how much you are hurting.

Karen, getting help will not hurt the girls, if you are well or at least better, you will be a better mum, your girls love you and want you around, so do i Karen.

I know if the girls where a little older to understand, they would want the best care for you possible.

Karen i am always here to support you.
