14th year house bound

14th year house bound

Hi Everyone,

I am new hear, after being removed from other mental health forums for my depressive thoughts i thought i would give this forum a try, this is my story.

I am 33 live with my mother, i am almost compeatly housebound, i leave my house once in the morning for a walk at 6am and maybe once during the week, both times i leave the house fill me with great anxiety, i have no friends, (the last friend i had was in 2001), i have never had a job, never had a girlfriend and never been able to leave my parents side, my father died in 2001 and i have always suffered seperation anxiety the last time i had a night away from home was 1994 for one night (parents had to pick me up at midnight because i was so frantic).

I have spent most of the past 14 years in my room, or the shed, never much out of the yard, no one in my town knows me, people stare and ask each other behind my back if any one knows who i am.

I have only had an income for the past year and spend the previous 7 with no income at all, mum had to use all of her life savings to allow me to live with her and she now has nothing.

I only want to live long enough to care for her in her old age and then i plan to take my own life, i knew from an early age my life would turn out like this, but had no idea how horrible it would be, every day is the same, i often wonder why i keep going, i have very little contact with family (maybe once a year) and i am really struggling to keep going.

Please don't feel distressed about what i am saying, and i am so sorry if i have offended anyone, it is just how i feel.

Their is so much more, but i will leave it at that for the moment, i am shaking and the anxiety is kicking in so thankyou for reading and i will add more later.

Jacques

Yum roast.... that'wonderful that you can do the cooking as well. Do you have to cook special meals because of your mum's diabetes?

You are definitely a SNAG Jacques.

Sensitive New Age Guy.

I still think your awesome j even if you can't see it

Re: 14th year house bound

Yes all meals have to be specially cooked, we have to make sure all the ingrediance are on her diabeties approved card, it is difficult, but we sort of know what she can and can't have. we try for a bit of variety because for so long we could only afford toasted sandwitches for dinner. (about 4 years)

Oh Karen, you are going to make me blush!!!!!!!

Karen, you are too kind, oooh just heard some thunder, maybe rain soon!!!!!!

Re: 14th year house bound

Sorry your flat tonight but that's ok, as you said it's to be expected seeing your listening to sad music.

Accept it for what it is a moment where you don't have to pretend that everything is ok.

So I'm putting an order in.

Someone to help me rip out the bathroom and kitchen

A hair cut

Roast dinner with yummy pastries for dessert

Someone to teach me how to use a computer

Listen to music and watch tv

Sleeping bag and hot water bottle

A perfect day:-)

Re: 14th year house bound

I remember you saying how difficult things have been for such a long time. But at least now you appreciate everything you have now. So many people don't appreciate what they have an just want more and more thinking it's going to make them happy.

Still lightning and thunder here it's been going for a couple of hours.

Re: 14th year house bound

Oh yes Karen, i do appreciate everything now, and i have learned the hard way that money and things do not make me happy, wildlife and you make me happy.

Re: 14th year house bound

I know that describes YOU Jacques.

You are brilliant!!!

I can't believe you can make Danish pastries you are certainly one talented person.

I'm smiling now thank you

It's still strange that we can talk to one another here but if we passed each other in the street we'd do our best to avoid each other.

When I'm out now and I get scared I try to think of how kind, caring, thoughtful and compassionate you are and think that maybe they are like that. Sometimes it works.....

I'm ok tonight thanks for asking.

It's been such a busy week.

I'm still waiting from the mhu, they were going to see if I could go back in private.... They will have to make me involuntary if they want me back in the public system. I'm sure there are no beds available anyway.

The house renovations aren't going as fast as I had hoped. The stumping is a slow process and they say not to do any renovating for 6 weeks after its done, while the house settles.

I wish I could go away and have a break from everything for awhile. I'm just so exhausted and overwhelmed.

Hope you here rain really soon.

Do you have a tin roof?

I love the sound of rain....

So magical
