14th year house bound

14th year house bound

Hi Everyone,

I am new hear, after being removed from other mental health forums for my depressive thoughts i thought i would give this forum a try, this is my story.

I am 33 live with my mother, i am almost compeatly housebound, i leave my house once in the morning for a walk at 6am and maybe once during the week, both times i leave the house fill me with great anxiety, i have no friends, (the last friend i had was in 2001), i have never had a job, never had a girlfriend and never been able to leave my parents side, my father died in 2001 and i have always suffered seperation anxiety the last time i had a night away from home was 1994 for one night (parents had to pick me up at midnight because i was so frantic).

I have spent most of the past 14 years in my room, or the shed, never much out of the yard, no one in my town knows me, people stare and ask each other behind my back if any one knows who i am.

I have only had an income for the past year and spend the previous 7 with no income at all, mum had to use all of her life savings to allow me to live with her and she now has nothing.

I only want to live long enough to care for her in her old age and then i plan to take my own life, i knew from an early age my life would turn out like this, but had no idea how horrible it would be, every day is the same, i often wonder why i keep going, i have very little contact with family (maybe once a year) and i am really struggling to keep going.

Please don't feel distressed about what i am saying, and i am so sorry if i have offended anyone, it is just how i feel.

Their is so much more, but i will leave it at that for the moment, i am shaking and the anxiety is kicking in so thankyou for reading and i will add more later.

Jacques

Re: 14th year house bound

Hi Jacques

You are right she is verbally as abusive as my husband. I don't know why she doesn't love me.

She doesn't treat my brother or sister like this.

I'm just destined to let people be abusive towards me. I'm so hurt.

Every time I see a new psych they judge.

One report I saw started out

43 year old female, overweight, long blonde immaculate hair, adequate make up, casually neatly dressed, well spoken.

I hate all these psych judging me.

Sorry j just so overwhelmed and hurting, she my mum I could never say those things to my girls.

I'm so pathetic and weak I am allowing someone else to hurt me in front of my children and I allow it.

How much more can I take.

I already loathe myself, no self worth.

Sorry what a mess of everything I've made.

It must be me that no one can love

Re: 14th year house bound

KAren, my angel,

She is just a nasty person, why have your brother and sister not told her to stop it? I can't wait for you to be in your new home, you are going to be so much better off.

Karen I wish you would stand up for yourself, i know after years of abuse you are conditioned not to stand up for yourself, but it will be important to set ground rules in your new home.

Karen i am so sorry you feel so judged by psychiatrists, i am sure they are not trying to judge, just trying to get an overall picture of your life.

I am so glad your girls will not know the hurt you are going through. they are so lucky to have you as their mum.

Karen you are not pathetic or weak, you have been conditioned by your late husband to do what you are told and don't question, you are just doing what has been your safty for so long, never speak back.

Karen maybe when she starts saying these things walk away, leave the room or go for a walk down the street, don't allow her to finish, do this everytime she is putting you down, that way you will nto be confronting her, please try this.

Karen your toxic people in your life are giving you low self worth and esteem, you need to surround yourself with friends, people who like you for who you are.

Karen you have not made the mess, your late husband has done this to you, it is constant torment that you are like this, i understand because i have been in your situation, an abusive neighbour, i blamed myself for so long, now i don't blame anyone, it is what it is, it can't be changed now. i move n as best i can.

Karen, you are my best friend, that has to count for something, to me you are perfect, maybe a little short but you are such a good friend, a good person, i am sure others here will agree, you have many friends on here, who like you for who you are.

Karen, please hold onto the fact you are liked by me, i would not want to know you any other way, to me you are perfect.

Take care my angel

Jacques

Thanks j I'm just so sick of being me.

I am so grateful that you are my friend I still haven't worked out why you even bother I'm really not worth it.

I'm so pathetic that my hair dresser I've known for 10 years and she works from home.

I can't even make a phone call for an appointment or go to her home.

See I can't do it I just can't do this another day.....after day.

Omg back in this room again ambushed by flashbacks , anxiety......

Karen, i know the feeling, it is so exhausting, fighting day after day, but we do, for each other, and for others.

Karen, i am your friend because we have so much in common, listening to you talk is like listening to myself, you are worth all my time and so much more, you are special, you are my friemd, you are the only person i have spoken to for this long in 14 years.

Karen, you are not pathetic, so you can't call, one day you will be able too, you just need time.

Karen you have to hang in their, be strong, you are a fantastic mum, you just need to see how wonderful you really are, you have just forgotten, i will make it my mission in life to remind you every day.

Karen, breath, listen to some relaxing music, have you got the apps? they will help, spray some essential oils around, the night will pass quickly.

i am here of you need me. you are perfect!!!!!
