14th year house bound

14th year house bound

Hi Everyone,

I am new hear, after being removed from other mental health forums for my depressive thoughts i thought i would give this forum a try, this is my story.

I am 33 live with my mother, i am almost compeatly housebound, i leave my house once in the morning for a walk at 6am and maybe once during the week, both times i leave the house fill me with great anxiety, i have no friends, (the last friend i had was in 2001), i have never had a job, never had a girlfriend and never been able to leave my parents side, my father died in 2001 and i have always suffered seperation anxiety the last time i had a night away from home was 1994 for one night (parents had to pick me up at midnight because i was so frantic).

I have spent most of the past 14 years in my room, or the shed, never much out of the yard, no one in my town knows me, people stare and ask each other behind my back if any one knows who i am.

I have only had an income for the past year and spend the previous 7 with no income at all, mum had to use all of her life savings to allow me to live with her and she now has nothing.

I only want to live long enough to care for her in her old age and then i plan to take my own life, i knew from an early age my life would turn out like this, but had no idea how horrible it would be, every day is the same, i often wonder why i keep going, i have very little contact with family (maybe once a year) and i am really struggling to keep going.

Please don't feel distressed about what i am saying, and i am so sorry if i have offended anyone, it is just how i feel.

Their is so much more, but i will leave it at that for the moment, i am shaking and the anxiety is kicking in so thankyou for reading and i will add more later.

Jacques

Jacques what we need to do is only think of the here and now. Right now I'm speaking to my best friend in the world I have never been this close to anyone, and I trust you.

That said I need to see you trying, fighting because that's what we do. We have to even when we don't want to.

Fight for me j for everyone here who has had enough you need to fight.

All that matters is that I think your a wonderful person nothing else. I will never judge I am here unconditionally.

Some days Jacques I hold on just to speak to you. No more, no less.

Find a reason and hold on to it.

I am here now for you Jacques never doubt that

Karen

I am so disconnected right now, my mind is swimming, i can't think straight, it is racing so fast.

Karen how are you tonight? how are you coping? the girls must be so thrilled to have built so many sand castles, you have another lovely memory Karen, hold it close tonight, the girls are so lucky to have you, you are so lucky to have them, your own little family.

I am so glad you are feeling life, Karen hold on to these memories, they are going to be your strength, i so wish i could do what you are doing, i have no good memories, only my past.

Karen give your teddy a cuddle for me, i so need some comfort right now.

Jacques I didn't have a good day it was truly awful, but to talk about that now I would be insensitive.

I've become so detached I couldn't even tell you the day, month, or who the prime minister is.

All standard questions when you end up in a mhu:-)

Jacques I promised I am not going anywhere I here for you right now.

Jacques what has worked in the past when things are this bad

Re: 14th year house bound

Karen i don't know what worked, i can't remember, just worked through it.

Please tell me about your awful day, it will give me something else to focus on. sorry if it sound insensitive, i just need to focus on something else, i will be able to handle what you have to say, i am safe.

Yes i know the feeling of the detachment

Re: 14th year house bound

Jacques I feel selfish telling you my issues.

My mum kept putting me down in front of the girls. Telling me how fat I'm getting.

That my long blond hair looks like rats tails. Lots of hurtful things to humiliate me in front of the girls. She knows my hair is long because I can't let anyone close enough to cut my hair. But I do look after it.

My husband's mum rang to tell me that if I had only made him happy he would've have died.

That I deserved the things he did to me because I didn't make him happy and I wasn't a good wife.

Awful stuff but true I do deserve to end up like him
