Checking In

Checking In

I thought I would start a thread for myself and other members to check in. I thought also needed a thread for myself after being in hospital recently too. Hope its helpful for others too.

I had not so bad today, my anxiety levels are less and feeling a bit more energentic which I think is good.To me that is a good sign. I have start to put my recovery plan in to action from my hospital admission. Tomorrow I think my staffy dog will be needing surgery, she had had another mast cell tumour. I truly feel for her, she has been fighting this cancer for almost four years, she is so strong and courgeous.

This week I have a specialist appointment twice and seeing my other Doctor once this week. I think with me and Kira I am going to have a busy week.

Re: Checking In

@oceangirl Hi sis. I am home and not feeling great still. I did have some good moments on my holiday and really want to go back next year - especially for Vivid. The crowds were a bit too much for me and I became really anxious a few times. I really did too much and feel totally exhausted still. Last night I had a really bad night - I didn't even realise where I was or what time it was really early this morning - I was completely disoriented. I had some really intense flashbacks and every time I tried to close my eyes I kept 'seeing' scary images. It was horrible and really affected me all night. I am home where I usually feel the most safe but am struggling to settle - think all the built up anxiety and exhaustion over the last few days have caught up with me all at once and instead of feeling relieved I am home all those feelings have multiplied and I feel really sick and scared. I was hoping for an early night but I am too wide awake and on edge to sleep. Have already had my meds and they don't seem to be working - hope they will start to work soon

I am thinking of you and sending you and Kira huge hugs and kisses xxxxx

Re: Checking In

@Zoe7 Hi sis... I am sorry to hear you are struggling. I nearly put my foot in it. A warm bath might help even if you don't feel like it, try to do some relaxation tomorrow- heated pool and swimming. My head cold is much worse tonight, the cold I've had for over a week.

I think you really need to talk to your team because this is been going on too long- they need to come up with a plan to help and support you to move forward. I am here for you anytime sis. Hugs and kisses to you, Toby and cat.

Re: Checking In

@oceangirl I am seeing my GP tomorrow and I need to discuss a plan for reconnecting with the psychologist and if there has been any progress with all three of them (GP, psychiatrist and psychologist) discussing a plan to move forward for me. It has been going on for a long time now but if the last week has shown me anything it is that I really cannot rush into things I am not ready for - we tried that once and the consequence has been that I have fallen into a place that I have real trouble coping with everyday. I know you are there - and I love you sis

I really hope your cold starts to get better soon and you can start feeling a little better too - look after yourself (and Trouble) xxx

Re: Checking In

@Zoe7 Hope it goes well tomorrow. I just had a radox bath and herbal tea. I am bit bored atm. Kira is beside me- she was in her cave - she looks like a joey in her mum's pooch. I have the zoo tomorrow. It depends on how I feel with my cold but most likely will be there. But I am not going to push it.

Re: Checking In

@oceangirl I hope you are well enough to go to the zoo tomorrow - but if you aren't do what you need to do to look after yourself first I don't feel like a bath - it is too cold!!! 12 degrees when I returned home - I am really feeling the cold even after only a few days away. I think the heater will stay on all night tonight!!!! I had some dramas at the airport but will put that on Am Not Coping later - a bit of a long story and not up to writing it at the moment. I will tag you in when I do post it

Re: Checking In

@Zoe7 I hope so too, I can't stop sneezing. I just thought a bath mite relax you and help you to feel more comfortable. I am hoping you feel better in the morning. I truly feel for you and I am concerned about you tonight.
