So I arrived here at midday today.
Feeling a bit lost. Everything is so ... strange.
Not sure what to do now.
Starting to get a bit anxious. A bit teary. Trying hard not to think, or to feel.
Wishing I had a bourbon or some chips or junk food. Something to keep me busy and not feeling.

Thinking of you. Sorry I'm not much help right now. I'm sorry it's not working out so well at the moment. I hope the next few days are better with more support. I so hope you can regain your spark to get back up your mountain when you get home again. The yellow grevillea in this pic is one of my favourites. Hi @utopia, have just read back through this thread after a crazy busy week with my 82 year old mother visiting from interstate. I (usually the one partly cared for by my companion), became the full-time carer to my mother. It made me appreciate the work of carers of any kind in a much bigger way, including you with your son. Sending strength to you, especially while in this vulnerable, scary, healing time in your life.

Okay - this hospital visit sounds like a magical mystery tour - I am so sorry about that - you need better
I hope that they male nurse was able to help - there is usually some good one around on shifts - sometimes they are just super-busy
Yes - there are a lot of sick people about - but you need the time as much as any one else
