My Hospital Stay

My Hospital Stay

So I arrived here at midday today.
Feeling a bit lost. Everything is so ... strange.
Not sure what to do now.
Starting to get a bit anxious. A bit teary. Trying hard not to think, or to feel.
Wishing I had a bourbon or some chips or junk food. Something to keep me busy and not feeling.

Re: My Hospital Stay

Sounds like it @utopia re animals running the zoo .... lol.... from a bystander' point of view, that interaction was so rificulous it's quite hilarious ...... just feel so badly for you because it's not funny in the living of it ....

Re WH, I can only stand up to him to a point. I don't want his delusional thinking back again..... and it seems to surface when his anxiety levels are running really high. He is reeling from the ocpd diagnosis where the pdoc referred to him as controlling, but that won't hold, especially under duress, because he is controlling the urge to control rather than it having been given up or reduced per se ..... and he is already holding so much in place by will-power alone, I don't know what the strain and sustainability is.

I am trying to establish moved boundaries while I can get away with it in this moment, knowing that the window of opportunity will close again sometime soon .....

Re: My Hospital Stay

@utopia The animals are running the zoo here too - have you met some of our mods??? hahahaha I sometimes think they need more HELP than us (and that is saying something)

Soon the world will be run by animals - oh wait - with some of the 'leaders of the world' atm - it already is also.

Am I becoming completely delusional - oh I so hope so - not much chance for me otherwise

Re: My Hospital Stay

Sounds like a continuous balancing act @Faith-and-Hope. What does OCPD mean? And if WH has heard this - what is the next step for him? What is the treatment for this MI?
Yes definitely animals running the zoo. No wonder my MI flares up. Trying to keep things logical and as stress free as possible - is a hard task - in the zoo I'm in.
Although I did get a letter yesterday from the first private hospital - where I used to see the Old Bugger.
The General Manager has written to me, stating a full investigation is underway & that he will inform me of the outcome, when it is complete.
So scary when you can only rely on your psychiatrist. And when they get it wrong - there is no other back up. Will have to wait and see what happens.

Re: My Hospital Stay

That is a positive step forward @utopia - it is such a shame that you had to be put through what you were with The Old Bugger for something to be done but you can take away from that that you had the confidence within yourself to pursue the matter further and because of you he is no longer working there - that saves others from going through what you did - WTG my beautiful cocky friend.

Re: My Hospital Stay

@Zoe7. It wasn't me. It was the Professor of Psychiatry from the large public hospital - whose complaint letter - got things this far. Sounds like the Old Bugger chose to leave the hospital - as there hasn't been enough time for the Board of Psychiatrists to meet yet and have a hearing about his behavior.
I only put my complaint in - to protect myself - as I'm still with WorkCover & I don't want them to only have the Old Buggers take on the whole fiasco.
Yes the world is being run by animals. The wrong sort of animals. It's the lunatics running politics and big corporations. And then they hire monkeys to work at WorkCover & CentreLink. Makes it hard for us living with MI's.
I haven't watched the news in 2 months. No tv. No papers. No internet. I'm better off not knowing what is happening in the world.
Think I'll stay living in Utopia Land.

Re: My Hospital Stay

Do not undersetimate what your complaint has done @utopia - you had to 'tell' someone first to get the ball rolling - so YES my friend - you were involved and you were brave.

Can I live in Utopia Land too (see I really must be delusional to want that) LOL

Re: My Hospital Stay

@Zoe7. Utopia Land is at times similar to Putting Your Head In The Sand Land. Lol. But it's often a nicer and more sane and compassionate place to be. Welcome.
@Shaz51. I think the idea is that it is better and easier for the nurses if you go on the dialysis machine. Often, in all areas of medicine - the professionals forget to ask us - the people - the patient - what we want. What would make our lives better. What outcome we want for ourselves and our health.

Re: My Hospital Stay

Yea - I am in Utopia Land - awesome - gotta be better than the cold, miserable, 'I am keeping myself on the forum so I don't lose it tonight' land that I am currently in @utopia - if I run out of painkillers I may go back to this land - but fingers crossed that won't happen until I am asleep tonight.

Re: My Hospital Stay

Utopia Land is full of fantasy places. Places we create in our minds in such detail, that we can literally feel ourselves there.
It's a safe place to visit from time to time @Zoe7.
Floating on clouds - light as a feather.
Sitting next to a creek - with our fingers or feet dangling in the water.
A land full of fairies and unicorns and butterflies.
Or perhaps in a beautiful cathedral - lying on your back - looking up at the architecture, the paintings, the ledlight.
Lying on grass - looking up through the tree canopy and watching the breeze gently blow the leaves.
Or watching dust beams, sun beams, moon beams.
Whatever you can create with your imagination.
