Craft Corner

A place to chat and share all things crafty!

What's your favourite craft? Is there anything you're working on at the moment? What would you like to create/work on (I have heaps of "one day" project patterns and ideas that I know I will probably never get around to, but it's nice to imagine)? I'd love to hear!

I have absolutely no artistic side to me and stick figures are the extent of my drawing ability, but I really enjoy learning and trying out new crafts. I learnt crochet during a stay in a prevention and recovery centre and it's something I pick up often when I am feeling blue, I need a distraction or I'm just a little bored. I've tried paper crafts too, although I didn't really get far with anything. Sharpies are some of my best friends and when I find my hands need to move I have a collection of smooth rocks that I draw on (different coloured circles) which often relaxes me. Sometimes I dust off the sewing machine and sew as well. I walk around spotlight for a fun outing 😉

They arent new to me. I get headaches often cause of my teeth but everytime i do crocheting i get a headache. Every single time unless ive had painkillers before hand for other reasons etc but i cant seem to work out why. Ive adjusted my positions to see if it was a posture thing, take breaks from it etc but im still getting them. I dont normally use my glasses when i crochet cause i can see its only more for reading otherwise i cant see much or i get blurry but havent noticed that when i crochet.
So thought id come here and see if anyones experienced it and whay they found helpful.

Its alot worse atm due to dental infection but it happens all the time and it stops me from crocheting or can only do around 10/15 minutes at a time with a few hrs in between. @CheerBear

Yep @outlander and eye strain and wrist strain ...

its partly why I dont do much craft anymore.

Gardening tends to be bigger lol... and is better for me.

I don't usually @outlander @ Make sure you use good lighting and good posture. You might need glasses?

Ive got glasses already but i dont use them as much as i probably should be. Ill tey using them while crocheting , i hadnt really thought of the eye strain it causes.

i is sick and in bed so to pass the time been crocheting making three little puppies 2 pugs and a lab looking one was going to post a pic of current progress but pic icon is gone
