What's your favourite craft? Is there anything you're working on at the moment? What would you like to create/work on (I have heaps of "one day" project patterns and ideas that I know I will probably never get around to, but it's nice to imagine)? I'd love to hear!
I have absolutely no artistic side to me and stick figures are the extent of my drawing ability, but I really enjoy learning and trying out new crafts. I learnt crochet during a stay in a prevention and recovery centre and it's something I pick up often when I am feeling blue, I need a distraction or I'm just a little bored. I've tried paper crafts too, although I didn't really get far with anything. Sharpies are some of my best friends and when I find my hands need to move I have a collection of smooth rocks that I draw on (different coloured circles) which often relaxes me. Sometimes I dust off the sewing machine and sew as well. I walk around spotlight for a fun outing 😉
Oh @outlander they're fabulous! 😍 Great idea to make toy clothes and those colours are so pretty.
Your work is incredibly neat 😯!
You've done awesomely and it's been so cool to watch your skills and confidence grow ❤

Thanks @CheerBear Was good doing other things besides the squares. I started a lve heart but my hands getting sore so will leave that for another day.
Uh its not quite that neat CB still have quite a bit of work to do before its neat but thank you ❤ With the double crochet though when going side to side like on a scarf or the bowties one end always curves rather than a straighter line and im not sure how to correct it. Ive watched heaps of youtube clips but im not picking up why its going like that.. any clues?

Re: Craft Corner
I cant really see a curve @outlander. Is it from the stitch where you started? The only thing I can think of is that larger pieces tend to flatten out more than smaller ones, and it is much easier to pick up on small things like wonky bits or a missed stitch when the piece is small itself.
It looks pretty great to me 🙂

Re: Craft Corner
ill get a diffferent pic @CheerBear so its abit easier to see. When i first start its an almost straight line across but when i finish the opposite end is usually curved. you can see it abit on the ties as well i done today.
thanks i hope my work will become as neat as yours though!

@Faith-and-Hope
i found this video when looking for ideas for my light shade. It’s 40 mins long and lots of adverts but there were some really good ideas here. Thought it might be one you could see if you can download and watch in transit.
Its also for anyone else that might like it. It is decorating bottles with different mediums.

Sharing something a lady is doing here where I live. It's called "Diamond painting".
Small beads are added to a picture giving a really beautiful affect. Some pics from the net. Someone might be interested.....!!!!!

Morning @CheerBear Love your cute avatar!
I had a look at the chevron blankets last night and i want to make one of those too now. I also found the ripple blanket and it looks the same? Is there a difference between those 2?

Re: Craft Corner
Hey @Maggie. I only just noticed your post above. I have seen the diamond paintings and a couple of school mums have been doing them. They're really nice, especially in person and a lovely way to get your craft on without too much tricky. They're also pretty well priced, especially on ebay. Very cool ❤🙂
Hey @outlander. How awesome is chevron/ripple?! The two terms are often used interchangeably, with chevron being the name of the pattern of repeating zigzagging stripes (usually). The only difference between them maybe is that chevron pattern usually is quite pointed at the tops and bottoms and a bit 'sharper' whereas ripple can be smoother lines, less noticeable curves and waves etc. That's my understanding anyway. Both sharper points and softer curves look pretty fabulous though 🙂 They're fun to make as they're a few different stitches and a little more counting and keeping track, while still being simple enough to not want to chop it up into a million pieces (usually/hopefully!). To me it is a nice balance of challenge and cruise.
